With the recent takeover of newcastle united by the Saudi Arabian public investment fund who are worth in the region of 320 billion pounds , should Leeds united owners radrizzani and San Francisco 49ers allow another 3rd owner in ? Radrizzani owns 63% and San Francisco 49ers own over 37% if radrizzani sold 29% and 49ers sold 4% we could get another massive cash rich middle Eastern group in buying 33% as almost a 3rd share leaving radrizzani with the controlling 1% so that would make it Radz 34% 49ers 33% and middle eastern 33% owners or even both radz and 49ers selling their shares for a complete takeover by a middle eastern group worth £300 billion this would then shoot Leeds united to one of contenders for the premiership and everything else, and a short cut to success.
What's the thoughts on this ?

Yes. We would need a huge investment to bridge the gap on a consistent basis. There's always the off chance that clubs can have a 'Leicester' season if they are managed correctly.

Its a great question and even under a Radz plan of 5 years to be challenging for top 4 place, the standard of player required would be an exponential upgrade.
    1. Summer 1 we spend £100m
    2. Summer 2 we spend £50m
    3. Summer 3 after surviving we spend another £100m, we also save millions in utilising Drameh, Cresswell, Gelhardt and Summerville in replacing older players.
    4. Summer 4 yet another huge uplift required of a minimum £100m plus utilising Lewis Bate and Amari Miller and maybe Sean McGurk. By this time there is no more Cooper Ayling Dallas, Klich
    5. Summer 5 on top of the huge transfer fees we have spent, it will be nowhere near what Arsenal and Villa have been spending, never mind the money the top 4 spend every year. On top of that to attract top players you need to pay stupid wages which also kills the bank balance.
Its a massive ask to not only outplay the top 4 but compete on transfers and wages you also need a top coach and a top plan that potential players buy into

Absolutely brilliant post Doc!! Spot on!! Leeds United's future, as it should be with most clubs, is their Academy. This country is loaded with talent that doesn't fulfil their potential because they don't get their chance in the Prem/Championship. This constant focus on spending loads is laughable. Take Villa, they have spent ridiculous money in fees and wages, yet they can't break into the top ten. And they sold their best Academy player for decades.

Leeds are going about it the right way. The time will come when the Prem implodes and clubs are exposed financially. Better to be on the right side of the balance sheet. Clubs like Citeh, Chelski and now Toon are simply toys for wealthy narcissists looking for bragging rights. They can all fk off. We're Leeds, let's stay Leeds.

Correct I agree , so by 5 years time your saying Leeds utd will not make the top 4 and looking at it on paper I have to agree , also the money ve get from staying in the premier league is not enough to get Leeds utd on an even keel with the top 4 ,
So is the solution to get a £100s billionaire ?
Radz as well as he has done , is not going to do it with present set up , we need a 100s billionaire and there are some out there.

I agree in 1 way and see your point but all the time we are waiting and not competing on a financial level as well as on the field , we are seeing these rich clubs win the cups and titles , I think although it's great and I'm grateful for what radz is doing for leeds , he needs to let another mega rich partner in there and I'm not talking about a 20 billion partner I'm talking about a £200+ billion Partner. If newcastle don't get relegated this season then leeds are going to be even further away from the top 5 I say 5 because it will be liverpool , man u , man city , Chelsea, and newcastle you see it's OK doing a result against these teams like the 1-2 win we did last season at man city but you need to be doing that almost every week to win the premiership and if you have not got the funds or a big enough squad then your not going to do it , that's why leeds have been struggling with 5 or 6 players out injured where as if man city or the other top ones have 5 players out they just bring in another top player from the bench. We could do the same if we had the big squad or funds.

I will finish off the post sorry I meant to say ...
I know what you mean but I would still not be content being in the 2nd tier or even top of it as it would be like being top if the championship and not the top of the premiership.

We’ve been out the top flight for too long, without the superstars coming through the academy it’s impossible to catch up with the big spenders. I’d like to see Leeds win the title one more time in my lifetime but I can’t see it happening.

We can all point to Leicester but that was a once in a century chance. I’ve set my hopes on winning a domestic cup but if someone came in with the kind of funds Man City or Newcastle have I’d say yes.

Newcastle honestly have more chance of winning the league title than Leeds even if they go down. With the funds they’d have available forget parachute money, they’d clean up every ounce of talent in the Championship, they could take the best player from every challenger.

It might take them 2-3 seasons to surpass us but when you can afford to waste money and just keep buying players until one works then why not. I remember thinking who’d join Man City, so what if they have these “new” owners, now look at them, same with Chelsea. Sadly the money eventually rises them to the top.

The way this season has gone, does anyone genuinely think Phillips and Raphinha will be here next season?

Our best bet is for newcastle to get relegated , Leeds to stay in premiership and this season or next Leeds to get a £200+ billionaire either as a partner or as the only owner then Leeds can move into top 4 and win tropheys before newcastle arrive.

How many more 200+ billionaires are out there? Even Man City owners are no where near as wealthy as that.
