The club cannot disclose who the exclusivity agreement is with if it is bound by a non disclosure agreement. In the light of speculation sort of is a strong hint that the statement covers the Turkish deal otherwise it would not have been issued.
But an NDA is in place for both parties, the Turkish fella has been giving interviews. So he’s either ignoring the NDA or there isn’t one in place
TOM - I get the NDA element. But it is reasonable to question more broadly, and outside the confines of any legal obligations, the identity of the party in those negotiations with the club - you are probably correct on the identity but there are suggestions to the contrary. MoH
No your looking at it wrong when he first declared an interest and enquired it was one of the clubs available he or anyone could talk about it, he has not talked about any actual dealings since talks on the actual deal began for the sale. Not publicly.
He hasn't given an interview since the NDA was signed. Obvs there's speculation in both Turkish and local press but the only interview he's given was months ago confirming his intent.
They said they were in a period of exclusivity. You show me a deal where a buyer is given exclusivity without heads of terms being agreed and deposit changing hands.
A deposit was paid for the exclusivity and it is none refundable but as it is paid you know the buyer is very serious in the pursuit of the club, that's it there is nothing else to say on it. No reason to argue was it paid or this means that or this means this.
The statement opens 'in light of media speculation'. Has there been any media speculation other than the Turkish deal? It doesn't quite go all the way to confirm its the Turkish deal, but is strongly implied in the statement. And it ties in with the updates on here from the 3 with links to the club, and with wider press speculation. Overwhelming Balance of probability comes into play where multiple separate sources are all pointing to the same thing.
The club did not say a deposit has been paid Neither a period of exclusivity or agreeing heads of terms guarantees a deposit has been paid.
You don't get exclusivity without money changing hands. There may be exceptions but few and far between. That's the convention. Its also the way the Allams have previously handled potential sales as evidenced by the Yongges losing their non-redundable deposit. Believe what you want. Time will tell, but it's overwhelmingly likely a deposit has been paid, heads of terms agreed and there's absolutely no evidence that this deal wouldn't be the same as 99.9% of every other business deal that's ever been done in the modern era.
Mate people give info on here to try give others some idea about what is going on, they won't say where they get it for obvious reasons ,if you don't like that just ignore and wait and see don't try to delve deeper into something or you will only succeed in people not giving any info.
