I think that's an outlier, P'boro spent heavily and are in a similar position to us. Critchley is just a special manager, that doesn't mean Grant is completely woeful, but Blackpool are very lucky to have him. It'll be interesting to see how they do when he does go. It could easily be the Barnsley effect, i.e. 6th last season and now in the bottom 3.
Not really. You're trying to make out like Blackpool are the norm for newly promoted sides. They aren't. The vast majority struggle in the 1st season. There's very very few who are looking at the top 6 and despite not spending heavily Blackpool are doing great. The only other aspect is that they have a top manager & that's why they're up there. If you don't see that, then you're a fool. I do appreciate the irony of you telling someone they come up with bullshit
It's still only November, Blackpool aren't going to finish in the top six on their budget. They've got to where they are because they're united, playing together and playing for the manager who is getting the best out of them. Our lot know they're going to be playing the same bullshit formation every week, so they probably aren't motivated enough.
Coventry year before no? Sheffield. A couple of years ago Luton year before I don’t see what you fuxking idiot It was you Confidently predicting everyone we signed was a world beater not me! and clearly the point I’ve been making is it’s mcann not the players and Ive been making it all season long
Nah mate our form dipped simples, there was no downing of tools until later in the year, the fact that our form dipped while he had a full compliment lead to the exit door for Bowen and Grosicki not because they'd downed tools to protect themselves. Perhaps there's more to it then meets the eye for reasons some.pmayers had enough later on, quite possibly it might have been a certain stubbornness to change tactics while getting our arses kicked ! Add to this when Bowen and Grosicki were here teams had by then worked us out, our only tactic was give it to them two and hope for the best, other managers saw this and deployed tactics accordingly, however one plan was unable to adapt, even after they left
No one including the players has done themselves any favours at all, and including management and players i see 0 in the starting team next season from what we have now.
This season I can easily see Emmanuel, Ingram, Greaves and Jones(as a defensive midfielder) quite easily keeping their places. Dependent of course on what formations etc are chosen. Ingram is probably our players of the season so far Greaves needs an older head next to him, Emmanuel needs proper game time to get up to speed again and Jones for me is a better midfielders then he is central defender. Honeyman hasn't really shone yet due to an intermittent start through injuries, and KLP needs coaching properly. Doc half the time is having to cover 2 mens positions so again the jury is out. Where we lack is up front and in the creativity department. There's a nucleus here that a new manager could work with so it aint all doom.and gloom.
Come on here looking for news about new owners and all I find is stuff about Terry and the transfers.
The striker on loan from Arsenal has made eleven appearances, the kid on loan from Chelsea has made five and the kid on loan from Cardiff almost every game. They’ve obviously made some decent additions.
Quick word to the wise. I’ve always said that owning a football club is a weird thing to want to do, and I’ll be certainly wanting the next owner to leave before too long I was wrong however. This Acun fellow is a fine chap, and his wife is a fine lady too. So if I do go to Turkey on holiday please bear that in mind Mr Erdogan (who is also a splendid chap) as I’d very much like to come home at the end of the trip. https://stockholmcf.org/turkish-pol...r-insulting-wife-of-pro-erdogan-tv-presenter/ https://balkaneu.com/turkey-faced-years-imprisonment/ All you lot who aren’t quite in line with my thinking need to think before you post…you set of ****s
Well they now don't have much else to discuss, they know the take over is happening and they know where it's at so they can't whinge about sell in 24 hours so now true to form find something else to argue about.
Don’t hold back should have expected a reasoned argument . It’s what I noticed maybe you were concentrating on formations
Completely agree. If our new Owner/Coaching staff can get our tactics and creativity up front sorted out early in the New Year I believe we have a nucleus of seven/eight that we can use along with new experienced strikers added in the January window to get us moving back to mid-table this season. I would keep Ingram, Greaves, Elder, Emmanuel/Coyle, Honeyman, Docherty, Jones, KLP, and probably McLoughlin and Moncur from the present squad, add an experienced CH and two MF/Wingers, plus 2/3 Strikers. We need to spend some of Ilicali's money in the window, get rid of McNutt ASAP, and we should be ok.
