We don't play him in the right position, he's too lightweight for midfield. He needs to get into the box more.
Still fuming about that draw yesterday. Klopp was outsmarted, simple as that. Changed things way too late, ive called him reactionary before and i think he was again yday and it cost us. Massively disappointed, shouldve been 3 easy points that.
You have to give credit to Brighton and Potter, they are improving year on year and there is no way they are a guaranteed 3 points anymore. They deserved their point yesterday.
That's twice the Keita as had to leave the field recently and the game changed as a result. As much as he frustrates me at times, he and Bobby are pivotal to the press.
You could see how frustrated Naby was when he was told he was to be replaced. He's taken some rough stuff in recent games though.
2 nil up, thier 1st was coming for ages, as was the equaliser and nothing changed until after that went in. Yeh Brighton are alright but giving up a 2 goal advantage over them for me is embarrassing. Many of us said it would go this way last summer, for the 3rd of 4th summer in a row no less, lack of reinforcements especially in midfield will ultimately cost us. And here we are. Feels like a loss to me.
Klopp stated two things. First we stopped attacking them in the middle. Guess what you stuck mane wide right. That automatically that's him.out of the middle where he drifts to. Second we didnt defend the half spaces. I wish he'd stop saying this ****e as it really means no body tracked the runners and they were in on our back 3 (cos trent was bloody awol) constantly. Sorry but if we play jones and ox even forced by injury they still need to fill space and if they cant then put on morton who could imo
Klopp pointed out that we didn't defend at all well at OT , and he was right. Brighton are a better team than United , and theyd worked out our right flank is an open motorway by the second half, and we were lucky to end up with a point, imo.
I'm glad people are finally seeing how good Naby is But it's all futile if he can't play week in week out If only we had foreseen that our midfield would be an issue this season without replacing Gini ...
I think everyone knows that when he’s on form he’s a cracking player. Klopp doesn’t get his big money signings wrong often if at all, but as you say can’t get any consistent game time and when he does he drifts in and out of games (which comes with not being fully fit etc). Was a perfect example of what he brings last week vUnited. United playing out from back and he saw Fred was offering an option just outside area and just before the ball was played he made his move and intercepted. If he goes too early, the ball doesn’t get played. Goes too late and Fred can receive the pass and move it on taking Keita out the game. So intelligent with his pressing, and so much more than just running around a lot.
I'm just really annoyed that we went into this season learning absolutely nothing from the horrors of last season. I think everyone knew that our midfield needed strengthening, even more so with Gini gone. Yet we took ANOTHER risk by gambling on injury prone players lasting the whole season. Now we're in a position our midfield has no consistency and no balance. We need to get Fabinho, Thiago and Naby back ASAP but they will continue to get injured again.
