Who backed Burnley to beat Brentford 3-1. Because every week we are seeing some strange results, last week it was Watford smashing Everton. Lets not become a statistic today….
Morning all Been thinking about this question of Norwich etc cheating. If we were to get relegated, would those that feel so strongly about it write to Rads and urge him not to take the parachute payments? Personally, I would wish for us to financially outmuscle everyone and bounce straight back Nothing like cheating in my book. Derby, Sheffield Wednesday and QPR on the other hand What does slightly irritate me is that when we did cheat under Bates we were punished and then received further punitive punishment (said at the time it was a very dangerous precedent to set for “smaller” clubs in the same situation) and the fact the league had to invent new rules for us after spygate. Maybe we have nothing to worry about, I am sure if Leeds did get relegated the nice chaps who run the FA and the Premier League would agree with the cheating concept and do away with parachute payments
We should pocket the parachute payments, sell all our best players - and then get relegated again. That’ll show ‘em Then when we start our L1 campaign at least we’ll have about half a billion quid in the bank (and still have Tyler Roberts) Sounds like a plan
There are plans to scrap parachute payments and use the £100m to distribute to the EFL pyramid. The parachute payment plan was in 4 chunks but now down to 2 chunks of £60m and £40m, next step will be a £100m one off payment, but wonder if they will scrap it as overwhelming majority of football people think it unfair
Good morning everyone personally I cant see a problem , this will be a win and im up for it , looking forward to the 3 points every little helps so the next lot of tv money will get some better players
Leeds deserve a change of fortune in the 70s they were the top powerhouse club everyone one wanted to beat, and so many stars, However life and fortunes change ,after a massive bite on the arse here we are again, but now unlike the twilight years in past, we are in the pinnacle of football admired the world over, for a newly promoted club hiccups were bound to happen, it takes a while to establish yourselves in this league, we just have to improve year on year starting with this one everyone together for the win and behind the lads.
didn’t back them but Burnley beating Brentford isn’t a surprise to me… the surprise to me would be Brentford not in the bottom 6 by the end of the season. There’s always a promoted team with a strong start to the season. Let’s see what the table looks like by Christmas.
