I never liked Thompson or Nicholas, Le-Tissier was my favourite, Merson is okay but he played up to the others a little.

Although she was Leeds Ladies I can’t stand Sue Smith presenting, Clinton Morrison is knowledgeable but he hasn’t a presenting voice, you need to concentrate on what he is saying.

Alex Scott and Claire Balding both are great, Sky should poach them, Micah Richards is like Kammy he just laughs all the time, he’s okay though he is likeable.

The women’s Euro 2022 draw took place the other day, TV tried to make a huge thing about it and the whole draw was dragged out. 100% female presenters, I didn’t mind it’s women’s football, they know it better than the guys.

Don't like Alex Scott. Talks a load of ****e. Interupts ex-players whilst they are doing their little segment. Pushes the 'women in sport' and 'BLM' thing too much in the media. I usually turn off if she is on.

Claire Balding is decent at certain sports. She does a lot of work behind the scenes and makes sure she has good knowledge on the subjects she is covering.

If anyone watches athletics then Denise Lewis is excellent.

As for soccer Saturday, the one thing that makes it appealing (to me) is that it takes me back to the changing rooms when I used to play. The camaraderie reminds me of those times and the craic is good. If you stick a female presenter in there then that dynamic changes. I'd still give it a go but I don't think I'd stick with it as much.

Need someone who already has experience in presenting a footy show. If it has to be a woman this one would be perfect

The probkem with football pundits, presenters and especially at Sky since Comcast bought it, is that its as woke as every US tech platform. Comcast are big pushers of diversity, BLM and any other bandwagon. They insisted that Sky sacked most of Stellings fellow presenters who had grown to be his best mates. He has never forgiven them.

Yesterday yet again I tried to watch Football Focus but yet again had to switch off. Farah Williams lecturing Dion Dublin about tactics in the mens real football game. scotty yet again pushing BlM and Black History Month ffs. Football focus has been staple watching for millions pre match on Saturday lunchtime for decades. The woke BBC and Sky will die a death before long self inflicted

    Morning all.

Was in the North East yesterday for my son's footy and it was a great game played in constant driving rain. Thirty or so lads having the times of their lives, all coming off covered in mud after a proper ding dong affair.

This morning, his namby pamby Sunday team call off today's match to protect the pitches. Suits me as there was going to be a clash with our match at Norwich but it's just a bit of wind and rain FFS.

Too many people gone soft in this country.

Good read is that and so very true. That lass who got the saturday lunch slot is seen so often with her dress up her arse. Thought this was all about equality and opportunities. Bloody hypocrisy is what it is

The problem is you are called racist or a misogynist if you speak out. I would like to see the best person picked for the job.

In regards to female presenters I don’t watch women’s football on TV but I assume it is an all female presenter crew? Nothing wrong in that…

I’m trying to think who’d be good in the job as lead host and nobody jumps out if I’m honest. Jake Humphrey if Sky could get him is one name I’d like to see in the chair.

I just looked at the early betting, Piers Morgan 100/1 I would seriously never watch it again if they got that prick

I saw a bit of Jonathan Woss's chat show last week and Alex Scott was a guest along with three other woke z listers promoting their latest book or show, Wossy asked about her new game show she was presenting and she replied she was very excited blah blah and added "I don't know how I got the job"
I could tell you love :emoticon-0105-wink:

Lots of people saying we should keep politics out of football, but my argument is that we are having football politicised by some pundits and plenty of BBC football and sports shows. We are force fed Black History month which basically widens the gap between us. I know nobody who even looks at the difference between players as they wearing our shirt. Why are the BBC and Sky still pushing BLM.

The best news was her BBC show “Who do you think you are” turns out her ancestors were slavers and owned slaves. Peed myself, irony isnt dead she then said she was ashamed…

I find most pundits dull as dishwater, especially the likes of Shearer, Hanson, Lineker, Crooks Lawrenson etc. I can't comment on the new sky lot, as I no longer watch it, haven't done for years.
There are only a couple I enjoy, Ian Wright for one, can't beat his passion and enthusiasm, I also like McCoist, adds a bit of humour to proceedings.
I totally agree that it should be the best man for the job but it never seemed to be the case, even before today's agenda's, jobs for the boys, as the BBC constantly give.

Agree with Emu, watching the old pros, it was like being part of dressing room banter, lads down the pub, taking the piss, Kammy cocking things up and taking the piss out of himself. Non of them natural broadcasters but it mostly worked because they didn't take themselves seriously

It does seem now that the majority of things are done to appease the minority of the people though.
