True although I'm not sure McGeady missing the last half hour would have made a significant difference to our ability to defend.
Couple of pointers from today, Stewarts effort that hit the post could of been a game changer if it had went in. Hoffman was on his arse when corners were coming over, one leading to a goal. The refs fault, no protection or just not strong enough? Read a post on twitter that said 'we were like rabbits caught in the headlights', sums it up for me.
So you really think KLD’s manager is going to be sacked by him less than half way into his first full season?
i know exactly where you are coming from mate, i am just trying to put a 'non slanted balanced kind of view' on it, we started badly (again) where we were starting on the front foot and it took us (again) to go a goal down afore we tried to get to grips which we did, then we blew it just before half time when i feel we had the upper hand slightly...just before their 2nd goal i was quite looking forward to the 2nd half i saw it in the first two or three games that we were letting balls roll right through our 18 yard box and not attacking them or crosses and the amount of space we allow for those crosses to come in is mental...that said, we knew with these lads there would be some 'learning as we go' and there would be blips but as you (and others) have rightly said we do not seem to be learning, maybe our start was too good and gave us a false sense.
I really hoped Johnson wouldn't bow to the pressure of bringing in Dajaku to start league games. He and McGeady, together, are too lightweight for these games. Gooch and AOB may not be popular but they're a lot more hard working and willing to do the donkey work. Our flanks, today, we're like open invitations to put crosses in ... ...ironically the thing Rotherham are best at.
Ah ok, I thought he came on at half time. Still though, the fact remains that we took off O'Nien at half time at 2-1 down and shipped 3 goals with no reply in the second half. It's unlikely to be a coincidence given Luke's defensive stats. He is also playing with an injury for what it's worth. If we're comparing him to the rest of the squad that should be taken into account.
i see mick mcarthy coming in and getting this lot turned round, that was horrific to watch Jan cannot come quick enough for Mick and me **** off now Lee.
no i wont **** off this bloke has blew it well and truly, that was the last straw for me change it now for christ's sake, Kryil don't just sit there do something and we need new players in Jan or we are stuck in this **** div with **** refs for ever.
Well at least there's a @marcusblackcat and @monty987 argument to cheer me up Monty, we've got a pretty young squad still learning and gelling. We're on a cup run we, lets face it, never expected to get so far in. We are still in touch with top spot. Just let that sink in for a while. I fully expect Lee Johnson to see out this season at least. If we lose most to every game up to Christmas (highly unlikely) alarm bells might ring. Lose a few and lose touch with automatic promotion (possibly) He'll get chance to strengthen in January. Win enough or all to still be in touch with top or be top (hopefully) Bring in Mick McCarthy ? Don't be fùcking daft man
