    this is basically a 'meh' game...

    lose and it was expected, concentrate on the league etc etc, win and people will start talking and the club will win some more support as it has to get a couple of mentions.

    would love to win it of course but reality says this is just a free hit for the squad, get out there and feckin enjoy yourselves whether you get in front or get on the end of a hammering, you wont get many like this.

    For me it's sending out a message to prospective January signings or loans, anything else is a bonus.

    I can't wait to see KLD, plus guests, at Arsenal tbh.

    I'm sure some of his contemporaries must've asked him, 'you've bought who' ...

    ... now he can text, 'Cup quarter final at the Emirates, massive Sunderland support, live on TV, don't miss it'.

    Whatever happens it must be a dream for the lad.

    We weren't supposed to beat Wigan away, or QPR away, now we have Arsenal away, haway haway.

    ****ing hell, we're in League 1 so a cup quarter final is pretty ****ing good.

    Maybe go and support the head choppers up the road, they abandoned the idea of progressing in cups years ago

    Nah I agree too. Each year we don't use the squad correctly. QPR took it out of the players and there was no fight it intensity. Pizza cup or the league cup, should always play the kids. League is priority and the proof is there we can not do both. Years of proof. Promotion is the absolute aim, not any cup.
