If you know stuff, surely now's the time to tell. Shouldn't fans know? What difference would it make whether it's now or a few weeks time? When McCann is talking about 'mitigating factors' in his interview with Mike White (good questionning from him), I expect he means lack of funding for signings, maybe also the constraints of the EFL loan, plus injuries & illnesses this season to date (Honeyman, Huddz, Wilks, etc). IMO, he can't mean anything about an imposed playing philosophy, as he's been the strongest advocate of it, and if he doesn't believe in it then he's been an incredible liar (and pathetic for not standing up to Ehab & LD). No?
Gone a bit off the rails this but Chazz is right, for most of the first half it was a front 2 of Eaves and KLP. Moncur was playing off the left somewhere. Not sure what I'd call the formation cos I couldn't make out what the defence was meant to be. Emmanuel was really high up the right wing at times. On about 30 minutes we changed to the usual 433. Then changed again at half time to 352. Bottom line is we were absolute ****e in all 3 shapes.
It was like he didn’t have the guts to go toe to toe with them and do 3-5-2 So as you say Emmanuel didtn know whether to stick or twist Elder was so pissed off in the first half too Second half I know we had three at the back but **** knows where some of them were playing in front of that Klp was like left midfield but tucked in then he just roamed all over And bringing magennis on and wlilks ffs they were miles away from each other It was hopeless
There was a bit of trouble at the tunnel end of north n west!! neverminded cov fans but they were behaving like right ****ers at the end Filming city fans leaving and goading them One city fan jumped up and was having a bit of a go with one of theirs
Wow. Beggars belief. Were they leading that lad out too? Edit: Maybe it's a safety rule ..... but as the twitter thread says, were all Coventry City's flags pre-checked, and if it had been an Egyptian flag would it have been ok?
So genuine mitigating factors for McCann that we don't know about or just other stuff that's been going on?
Factors that don't/haven't helped him. But not things that cover his lack of flexibility or tactical shortcomings ( in my opinion )
Threatened to, but didn’t Even police telling stewards they were out of line. This is the lad (I don’t know him but funnily enough he is half Turkish apparently)
As I 'flagged' up earlier, this pisses on the charade at the beginning of every football game. As I understand it, the fire regs only apply to flags over a certain size. The lads need to get a few of the local Turkish community to turn up with flags, and then sue the arse out of the stewards for racism.
