Sorry, but he signed what was it 8 players during the close season... are you saying he didnt want them as many came with the 'played under McCann at Doncaster or Peterborough'... Blackpool came up via the play offs, I don't know what their spend was but they're flying with the same manager with no championship experience. Whilst we all know that this club stinks from the top down, the clown in charge of the football team, couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery at this level. He's let the club down, the supporters down and by not walking eons ago he's let himself down. He is the epitome of the saying 'pride comes before a fall'..

So, just got home from today’s City **** show. Very poor, particularly in first half, an awfully hard watch, just no passion, self belief or confidence evident. They were chasing shadows, when we did get the ball, possession too easily cast away, so many passes into touch or gifted straight to the opposition. As others said, made Coventry look like world beaters. Second half, with change of shape, I thought we at least looked “more threatening” but never mind 5 mins added time, we could have been there another 5 hours without scoring.

Positives - expectations exceeded with weather, after the down pour this morning, not a drop in sight, East Stand bathed in the sun, really quite mild.

Canadatiger - hope the rest of your trip is more successful & enjoyable than today, won’t be difficult!

Once was enough although I’ve had a few Amstels and I’ve just poured a cpt Morgan’s, so maybe it’ll make sense the second time

Apparently we chase targets for years before we land them. How can Mr D and the team sign these players and then they can’t get in the team ? Maybe a goalie who retired at 19 might not be the best scouting option. Look at the history of Stan Ternent in comparison. He was a proper scout and could pick out gems for very little. We haven’t had good recruitment since he left.

Looked very much like a 4-3-3 to me. First half Eaves was operating in isolation flanked by Moncur on the right and KLP on the left.

    Ingram

    Emmanuel Dijon Greaves Elder

    Cannon Smallwood Docherty

    Moncur Eaves KLP

Second half no idea what they played. It was still a sack of ****.

On the plus side.....when the poppy shirts go up for auction a) you'll not have a problem picking one up, cos who's going to want one after that and b) when it arrives, chances are it won't stink of sweat after the effort levels on show today

I don't see lack of effort from the players , just lack of ability or any gameplan

It was 4-3-3 in the first half. Don’t know what it was in the second.
