I don’t understand that. So now we have 9 defenders on the pitch and made the change with 15 minutes to go.

Time to make Spurs look mildly like an attacking threat. No need for it really.

Oh well at least he brought Rashford and Lingard on.

Ole deserves mighty credit for the way that he’s setup the team today. Another giant rabbit out of Ole’s.

You go from conceding 5 goals to not allowing the other team to even have a single shot on target. Varane has been outstanding today.

Much much better than I could have hoped. Mind you Spurs played into our hands. Tentative and too cautious.

Happy with the performance and the result today. Really enjoyed that <ok>

It is one game though, it needs to be consistent and the real test will come against Atalanta and City.

Maybe the Liverpool event would be a turning point? It really could be in my opinion. We know that we have the players. If Ole can get more involved with training, preparation and motivation the team to perform, we can string good results together in the next three matches.

They're not a great side atm but we were tight, well organised and the formation was good. It'll be interestimg to see how our wingbacks manage against tougher opposition but I think they played well today.

    We're 3 points behind City.

They've lost in the League Cup and then today against Palace. There's no reason why we shouldn't be looking to win that game <ok>

    Varane made a big difference.

Sure there were noises on the premier board mentioning something about him being over the hill?

Absolute nonsense, the bloke is at his prime if anything.
Maguire needs that sort of class alongside him, he can't be that calming influence himself. Clearly!

No, he'd have come on and said look at City and Liverpool, they lost and drew so that makes things ok!

I'm going to do a GF and say that after today, last week's result only meant Liverpool gained 1 point on us <whistle>
