Oh the irony. So because you’re negative, you’re realistic? And because I’m an optimist, I’m not. Utter bullshit
This defeat was not because we were bad. The gods were against the region today. Us 1-5 Mags 0-3 Boro 0-2 Hartlepool 0-5 Carlisle 0-3 Gateshead 0-2 Spennymoor 0-4 Blyth Spart 0-4. Well done Darlington -- 5-1 winners.
So many games left, everything other than a few recent results has been encouraging. But the warning signs are there. What I do think, personally, is that there is a job to be done in Jan by the club. If we were waltzing the league there wouldn't be so much, we need to spend the absolute minimum to get out of this division, of course, but we do need something extra. I have nothing against LJ. I think he's as good as we can get, and actually, I really like him based on what I hear from him. Back him in Jan, let him be judged at the end of the season.
Sorry mate, wasn't being funny just didn't see your prediction. To be fair they were favourites and are flying so no big surprise. We've had so many away games I thought it would catch up especially without, Broadhead, Huggins, etc. We have a bit of a breather coming up so I'll expect an upturn soon ... ...Tuesday is important though.
Sadly I can only analyse this result as a seriously bad omen. A good team would not lose so badly against another competitor, no matter what. I am now concerned.
Just an update on the cricket, Butler has just almost single-handedly smashed the Aussies just as Rotherham smashed us. Just like we were not in the game, nor were the Aussies!
Knew you weren't being funny mate. Before a ball was kicked I had a feeling Rotherham would be to strong for us. It's not the end of the world we are still in the mix and I reckon we'll bounce bacon on tuesday
Just as long with 15 games to go we are there or thereabouts, we will have learnt not to get bullied and will win the last 15 games and get automatic promotion. We didn't even have a corner FFS!
Best team in the league Rotherham. They were definitely the team I thought would be our main rivals. At least we now know more about what we need in the window. Still optimistic.
