So disappointing but then i have had years of Sunderland heartache so im now starting to get an immunity on grief from the team
this is another problem with cup runs, they tend to 'gloss over' a far from perfect league form...i have said since the first couple of games we do not defend crosses very well at all, whether in the air or along the ground and if i saw it why has feck all been done about it? no injuries excuse so far this season for the back 4 but two uncontested headers in the box and two goals, should really have been at least one more 1st half.
KLD needs to dip into his trust fund in January. 4 seasons we’ve struggled to get out of this league yet I’m still seeing names of those who’ve struggled on the matchday squad sheet. Gooch, Flanagan, 09, McGeady, Wright, Burge. Maybe when our injury list has shortened they might not feature as much but it doesn’t look like a lot has changed really.
Obviously I have not watched any of this nor could I bear to listen to the crap radio. But, from those there or watching, yet again have we just been roughed up?
Johnson has work to do and this kind of performance can't happen again but it takes more than this for me to throw my toys out of the pram. We've got a good team, seen the evidence of that many times this season, and we'll get out of this slump.
They've done well this season, just having a blip. No use getting on their backs. Fans need to stay behind them imo.
This is the worst defeat of them all, and I can see no answer to the lack of defensive nous when faced with big strong attackers, bailey Wright is not the soloution .
