The pouring rain, the icky stomach feeling of potentially seeing Winks and Dele or Fred and McTominay start for your team, the expectation of a loss, the Hobbit vs Nathan Redmond’s Dad, this can only mean one thing…. It’s El Sackicko day!
Hope you have a good evening @Dier Hard and whoever else is going... In Bournemouth dropping my uni kid back ... No doubt spurs will cheer me up though
Not sure what to make of our changes, Lo Celso probably deserves a chance but I have zero confidence that we will get anything tonight. If I was a United fan I wouldn't like the look of their team either, but the greater individual quality is clearly with them so I expect that to win the game
Lo Celso over Ndombele is an interesting choice as it indicates either Nuno either trusts Lo Celso in that role more, or is using Ndombele as an impact sub in the pivot as that seemed to work against Burnley Davies over Reguilon is certainly not a choice I was expecting
You sack the manager because you can't sack the manager-killer squad or the money smart football dumb management. It's true Nuno was never the right choice, but it's ENIC's fault he's in charge, not his. For reasonably intelligent and professional level effort, I give him higher marks than either the squad or the management...though that is damning with faint praise.
Why does Lo Celso deserve a chance? Genuine question. The man fails to impress time and time again. Ndombele has many faults but he is capable of something special. Lo Celso for me offers little more than Winks and Dele.
Reguilon made a fair few mistakes and poor passes whereas Davies looked committed and we badly need some commitment. Lol Celso over Ndembele for a similar reason, he is more likely to produce a committed performance. Nuno's changes make much sense to me as hopefully he pushes the team into a more energetic style.
I agree Reguilon has made some mistakes and Ndombele has his faults but they’re still far superior to Ben ‘basic’ Davies and Lol Celso.
Spurs are already lacking in creativity and he doesn’t pick an attacking left back or the only midfielder he has that can actually do something other than pass sideways. Really baffled by Nuno’s selection today.
