It does seem that way. The bench is actually better than the first 11. It’s just plain bizarre. I think it is a case of damage limitation. The players will know he is throwing them under the bus.
I would go as far to say that that is the worst starting 11 I have seen. It’s shocking. Clearly playing for a damage limitation result. It is a free hit why are we not just going for it. I don’t understand that at all.
And on a side note Mitro is proving he is a good striker. I say get him back. Imagine Mitro and Wilson up front.
I agree. But Jones is being idiotic. What is he even thinking? He’s going down as a failure. He is obviously scared of losing big. This is about not losing but not losing by many. That Chelsea team must be laughing their tits off. Jones is making a fool of himself here but I will be glad to be proved wrong.
What? Can someone explain to me why Jones and Bruce think that putting 3 centre backs works. Just because you have 3 doesn’t mean we concede less. It means we concede more possession and chances against!
Last game 25% possession, shocking pass rate, defense woeful ,so what does Jones do, pick the same team????.Lascelles, Clark are useless pairing, Fraser definitely not a midfielder, 2 defensive holding players, no playmaker in the team. All I can say is please get a new manager in as soon as possible because Jones in using the same team and formation as Bruce.
You get rid of Bruce then this. It'll be alright in a few years but I've resigned myself to relegation now. Not even that bothered the future is bright
I don't get Dubs on the bench either, either he is fit to start or shouldn't be involved at all. Jones said he isn't match fit, so why is he on the bench? Darlow could get injured/sent off in the 2nd minute then he has to come on.
