Expectation to be 3rd bottom Not scored in 6 away games You could be right divert attention away from them whilst the club is sold and leave it in the ****.
Evidence for Plan A Championship - First half first of season with Grosicki & Bowen... Division 1 Champions Promoted... Evidence against Plan A Second half of first championship season... Relegation... This season... Alternatively - Plan A fails = make plan A better... Therfore better = New Manager
If we judge him on performances or results, it’s the same conclusion. His record at this level is terrible, he can claim some performances are good but we don’t get points for good performances and let’s be honest “good” is stretching the truth. We suffer from the same deficiencies as the last championship season, we concede poor goals and can’t score. He won’t change, he won’t play the guy he brought in to solve the scoring problem (Tyler smith). It’s repetitive, it doesn’t work and he’s getting to the point you have to feel sorry for him
I'm convinced he has been told that is the club's philosophy playing 433, and that is what he has to play. He hasn't the balls to say no, it isn't working, we have to change, as he is protecting his job. What is baffling, is we are told players are bought to suit this system, but it doesn't work.
That's what I've been saying all along. I think there's little doubt that Ehab and Darnborough decided on the 4 3 3 (high press, fast paced, attacking, attractive) philosophy. (the bits in brackets are part of the 'philosophy' but of course nothing like the reality). They've said on more than one occasion that McCann was chosen & hired as he bought into that philosophy. I don't think he's protecting his job, I think he actually believes in what he / they are doing. He's not the right manager for us; we need someone who has both a) the nous to realise that a club like ours can't simply stick so dogmatically to such a 'philosophy', and b) as you say John, the guts to stand up to Ehab and Darnborough. As far as I can see, he's incapable of either. And that's without even getting into his blind spot regarding our needs for experience.
I’ve only just come across this today, but it appears the Chris Wilder theory of a few weeks ago, was nothing more than him watching a game of football. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/chris-wilder-hull-city-boro-6010837.amp
Doubt anything will change before the international break after barnsley. But then its all change, allams and mccann gone. I think.in my opinion. I have no insider knowledge
If its true that our potential incoming owner is present today, I'm sure that McCann will be under more immediate scrutiny, and dependent on how far the sale is, it may just be that words are had dependent on the result and or performance.
Cardiff and Peterborough are doing their level best to be ****ter than us - I can't see McCann putting up with that for long
