How do you feel he has the 3rd most amount of chances created?

Only behind Alexander Arnold and Bruno Fernandez

I see him getting a lot of stick despite clearly playing out of position. His work rate is good, he can support a LB but he can't possibly be blamed for defensive decencies while out of position.

I think he deserves a chance playing LM in front of a LB.

His deliveries into the box are the best on this team IMO. He can whip in a decent ball, corner and set piece.

You can't argue with the amount of chances created.

    -------------Wilson-------------
    Ritchie-----Almiron----ASM
    -------Willock---Hayden-----
    Lewis-Schar-Fernandez-Manq
    ----------Dubz------------------

No his legs have gone. He was moved backwards by Rafa because he was no longer suited to playing in an attacking role. I can't see how 3-4 years later he will suddenly be able to become productive there again. He does ok at full back and wing back. That's his role now. He's just a bit out of form and has two centre halfs playing alongside him who wouldn't look out of place in the Morpeth Sunday League.

He's created more chances than anyone else in our squad!

I know we need better, but I think he should get a chance over Joelinton. He'd provide better defensive cover, more stamina and work rate, better balls into the box etc. Joelintons only advantage over Ritchie is hold up play, that's it.

    Ritchie is ****

    Lewis as left back
I'd pyay by Almiron in the left forward side position to support Lewis

Thanks for the effort. Yes. Though I'd currently play Joelinton instead of Willock until he's fit enough.

Not from wide midfield he hasn't. Its a different role being asked of him.

You are well wide of the mark on his advantages over Joelinton in my opinion. There is no **** in our team working harder than Joelinton at present. He's also nowhere near as quick as Joelinton. He is nowhere near as strong in possession (can't believe I'm saying that after how he started). Joelinton has been the best functioning part of the side in recent times, it makes no sense to move him from wide left to me. I'd also disagree he'd provide better defensive cover, Joelinton is excellent in this regard. I do think Ritchie puts a better ball into the box, I'm just not sure he'd even get into position to show it. Playing for us, you have to remember you rarely receive the ball in the last third. We are continually on the back foot because we can't retain possession (largely down to central midfield). So generally our wide players need to be be able to carry the ball long distances. Ritchie would go down like he's been hit by a sniper if he had to travel those kind of distances because his legs are gone.

The front three for us is fine and good enough to keep us in the league. ASM, Joelinton, Wilson. What we need is to somehow find a way of getting the defence to shore up, and the midfield to just function better centrally. Which is going to be tricky until we can buy.

Rather just play with 10 men I think. But yeah I suppose we don't really have anyone else yet

Fair enough. I suppose we're lacking a proper CDM, but Hayden has had his good spells here, and he's the closest thing to a CDM we have.

We played better with Lewis in the team, Bruce simply always played him wrong and therefore decided to give up and drop him,

    Classic lazy management.

ASM is apparently a bit of a lazy guy in training and therefore absolutely adored this Bruce style of management.
