Perhaps he could get some style advice from Pogba? In exchange for some advice as to how to play football.
Plus, we'd just stick a youngster in the official squad to fulfil the quota and manage with a smaller squad
Klopp training and preseason. We are not an oil doper so cannot drop 100mil on a grealish and same on youth training to end up with maybe 2 over 10 years. To compete we need the squad size and for the future we need to be ready for tighter rules as it will be the only short term constraint on the state run clubs
Rossiter wouldn't sign a deal tbh. In the end I know you cant admit you from an impression day 1 you see someone and wont change no matter what they do but you are talking about a 10mil player there. Neco was a callow youth. He has learned a lot since and has a lot more to do to be a senior player
Lol I hope Neco proves me wrong but I'm just going by what I have seen from his limited appearances so far. Yep, I'm probably being harsh but at this moment in time, I really can't see much potential in him. Unlike Trent and Curtis.
Thats not really the point, you don’t need to fill a HG quota. You don’t need 8 HG players, what you can only have is a max of 17 foreign. So if you can get by on 17 foreign and 4 HG then fine. You don’t need to add 4 **** players in just to make up the numbers (plus under 21s don’t count towards the 25 man squad anyway). The point is having 8 HG players who can compete so that you can rotate the squad around with the 17 foreign players.
Actually in europe if you fail to get the 4 club trained you get docked squad slots so they do have impacts.
A lad can be solid and dependable on 20k a week or whatever and just do the needful. That's my opinion anyway. Ideally they'd all be as good as Jones coming up but they are not. Trent is once a decade player. Hopefully morton can grow up a bit now and maybe grab a shirt
This is the thing - I don't think Neco is dependable. If Trent is out injured and Neco has to step in, then I'm worried. Because he is really really poor defensively. Maybe I'm being too harsh by setting the bar way too high, but I see Jones and Elliot has solid options to play in the first options - players that dont look out of place. I like the look of Morton and Bradley, that's for sure.
