Really looking forward to Charlton games now that Jacko n Jase are at the helm, so put this one up early. The only question about team selection is whether or not Lavelle is fit. Jacko asked them to make themselves undroppable, and every one of them has done just that. After the morgue-like atmosphere for the Accrington game, the Valley should be rocking on Saturday. Who knows, we may even win at home.
Lavelle looked in a lot of pain tbh and it looked like tissue damage rather than an impact knock so I wouldn't expect him to be fit. Jason Pearce was immense when he came on so I wouldn't be worried if it was a straight swap but I do wish that JP wouldn't wrap his arms around any striker he's marking every time the ball comes in. He gives me nightmares that he will give away a penalty at any moment. Apart from that I'd be happy with the same team and definitely need to keep both Washington and Stockley up front together. No more 1 up front please. I'd be interested to know just how far Washington runs in each game - he's not a natural goalscorer but he more than makes up for it in work rate. The question is can the team keep up the same intensity and effort which they showed against Sunderland but has been lacking for most of the other recent games ?
Jackson said after Saturday's game that he likes to play two up front. Shows that the tactics were Adkins'.
At the risk of upsetting the miserable bugger @Smudger603, I am certain Doncaster will get at least a point. We have had it over them in recent seasons and this game has all the makings of dampening the post Adkins enthusiasm.
Can't see it myself. I think the JJ bounce will last at least 3 or 4 games. Also it's our 15th game on Saturday, so looking forward to your assessment of our season
I'll be going! My first game since west Brom away, I now live in the Midlands but defo going for this one
You can have it now, we have been embarrassed many times this season, the defence is as strong as my guts on a Sunday morning. I'll be amazed if Jackson and Euell steer us towards the play-offs. Comfortably bottom ten.
WE haven't been defending as a team. On Saturday the defence was getting supported by the wide men, and Dobson was doing the job Watson was supposed to do, so hopefully they'll carry this forward.
Wasn't Accrington's away record almost as bad before they beat us? I'm pi55ed off watching away fans celebrating. Lavelle's ahrt for the foreseeable future after surgery on a groin injury. Pearce or Deji? I say Deji.
