There's one sniffing around now. We're rich.... Go and vote to leave Europe thinking you were closing the borders Sunderland fans. They voted to stop human rights victims finding a safe place to live. Rule Britainia? Flag waving racist ****s
If that is the best you can manage, even on a simple message board, then you would appear to have some cognitive issues which cannot be addressed here. The House of Saud has for a very long time been a corrupt and extremely unpleasant entity, as you would know if you had done some reading on the matter. But, no one is perfect, and they do indeed invest in a wide variety of things around the world. They are not the only ones, and they all do it for one simple reason; to make money. Fair enough really, they all make money on most things they invest in. What the Saudis will NOT make money in is football. Nor do they intend to. Buying a provincial club in the far North for £300M alone is a sum they could never recover from football operations. Add on much more, and the truth is there in plain sight. They are trying to attach a civilised sheen to a barbarous regime. And they are going to be reminded weekly at least, that people here and in other countries are aware of the routine atrocities committed by them, often openly. If you are alright with that, or are unable to see the distinction, then fair enough. I pity you. But send an apology to the family of Walter Smith while you are on this board. If you can see that your behaviour merits it of course.
So what you are saying here is that sports washing isn't really working and that it's actually going to have an opposite effect? So it's actually a good thing and KSA have put themselves in the firing line "weekly" as you put it by purchasing NUFC and raising more awareness to the atrocities than if they hadn't bought the club? Personally I don't give a monkey on other clubs fans holding their banners up calling it out, in fact I'd encourage it. I completely agree that KSA need to be held accountable for their crimes but that is KSA not NUFC or our fans - unless of course they are point blank denying the HR abuse and oppressions exists but I'd challenge you to find one instance of this - you can't (I'll caveat that by saying from anyone of sound mind). What Newcastle fans are against are ****ing *****s coming out acting all high and mighty when these plebs haven't ever given a thought to KSA HR abuse previously there or anywhere else in the world, it's salty jealousy and that is all. Name me a time you as an individual have ever done anything to combat or call out KSA (or any HR abuse in the majority of the middle east, Africa, Asia, South America...) prior to the takeover.
Mate there is old saying, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. So if its ok for Sunderland, Man U, Man C, Chelsea etc all to have billionaire owners with murky links and past dealings, then its good for us too. Until they're all whiter than white, its just hypocrisy and salty tears. They can enjoy our rise (probably after we get relegated this year ). Yes that's right we can even laugh at relegation, because it just won't ****ing matter in the long term.
What have you said about Walter Smith Chaos you bad little man? Anyway you've manned up and apologised so hopefully the folk you've offended can accept the apology and move on. Just a warning though, sometimes people can be proper little bitches and reject apologies.
Looking at the situation I think I made a huge error in judgement. I was really just reporting the death Wasn't funny at all on reflection adding the bit about us Gave myself a good wobble. Sorry lads
Ah **** that mate, we all make mistakes. You've owned it. I didn't even know he had died to be honest until I read this thread. Don't really follow the news much these days, as its usually depressing and utter bollocks.
I honestly did just feel I was reporting the death but obviously when you look at it the part I added wasn't the brightest thing I could have said. Looking at it now it looks worse than I intended. I'm an idiot more than I am sick in the head. Hopefully people know that and accept my apology and acknowledgement of that error.
For what it's worth RIP Walter was all that should ever have been said Hold my hand up.. Stupid of me
As I say mate everyone makes mistakes, says things they shouldn't. If you own it and apologise then I think most right minded people would accept that.
Definitely agree. Well said, we can all say the wrong thing sometimes so at least you are big enough to acknowledge that and apologise
I saw that, they’ve lost the plot. Sportswashing minions to a man. First the mag comparing the crap their fans are getting to Hillsborough and now this fella is chuffed someone is dead to take the heat off them. I do hope someone screenshot that and sent it to the rangers fans. I’d have done it but I spent the day working and fighting for human rights…
Not quite what I said. Don't over exaggerate it I've accepted it was thoughtless but not meant at all as you're suggesting
