Does Ehab have a degree in economics, business etc.? Or is his only experience with business the nepotism of his father to put him in charge in some capacity at Allam Marine and City?

I knew this kid at sixth form who previously went to Hymers and his dad was a very successful businessman. His A-Level results were nothing to jump up and get excited about but for his 18th birthday, his dad bought a whole business for him to 'run'. It makes sense why his old man bought him an entirely separate business instead of giving him any responsibility in his own businesses because the kid ran it into the ground within a year.

    Nepotism's a funny old thing.

I know Papa has an economics degree from Hull uni. As much as I despise him over the name change, he seems like an intelligent man. His son? Not so much.

I don't think the current situation serves anyone.

If the Allams don't sell and don't change things, they will have a league one club on their hands again next season. If the Allam's do sell, you'd assume any potential new owner would want to stop the rot ASAP to also avoid having a league one club on their hands, just by putting some of the existing staff in charge in a caretaker capacity. Even if the deal was to fall through, the Allam's surely still need to get rid of McCann.

Either way, he has to go now and I can't see any scenario in which him being here as being beneficial.

I believe ehab has tried to include himself in previous deals with prospective owners.

One of the previous deals includes him staying on for 6months as a transition at the potential buyers request. That's as much as it ever was and it was only the one. This deal doesn't include him or Assam near the club at all

Good, prospective owners are fully aware then of how toxic the Allam name is.

Apparently there was a suggestion in the athletic over the weekend that there may be a potential sticking point over the Allams refusal to accept cash installments.

I wouldnt have thought they'd have paid a deposit yet if the deal is still at that stage and the structure of the deal is yet to be agreed.

    Heard owt?

I've heard this Athletic mentioned before, is it a reliable source?

He wrote the article in The Athletic over the weekend. I've never read it personally as it's behind a pay-wall.

It's supposed to be quite good from what I've heard. They did a really long opinion piece quite a while ago on the Allams and City. I just can't be arsed paying for articles on websites. Same when I go to read an article in the Telegraph and it's behind a pay-wall.
