If I was a Newcastle fan I would be a little concerned that, at any sign of trouble, the Saudi's would drop them like a stone. They have the money to afford to. As politics is so closely linked to their club now any political shift could cause rippling effects which could have consequences for their club. It's not just about what goes on on the pitch anymore, or even how many moths come out of Mike Ashleys pockets when he gets his wallet out. Its about what goes on in a far away country that the club itself will have little control over. And how ourselves and other nations react. 'Got their club back?' Nothing could be further from the truth as far as I'm concerned. It is now planted in Saudi Arabia. Every time Saudi Arabia get bad press, rightly or wrongly, some of the **** will get thrown in Newcastles direction. An assassination here, a stray bomb there, an miscarriage of justice here, an gay execution there. I'm not thick skinned enough as a supporter to have to put up with the backlash my club will receive as a result of the policies of my overlords back at HQ Quarters. A first big trophy may feel great but then I would find any further success will fail to absorb the blows. As a Sunderland supporter I am starting to believe that we are well out of it to be honest. And if Newcastle get a few trophies over the next few years well bully for them! At some point in the future, could be 5 years, could be 50 years, it will come crashing down due to something totally out of their, or footballs, control. I also believe the Saudi's and Staveley pin pointed Newcastle as a weak link in their quest to get a foothold into English Football. They've infiltrated their way in by picking a big club, with a passionate fanbase etc etc but with such strong hatred for an owner, and such strong willingness to finally succeed that the majority are happy to accept this takeover taking place. Because you cant tell me, that if Mike Ashley had Newcastle pushing for Europe every season and had them winning a trophy or two, there wouldnt have been far more protest within the Town fanbase over this takeover. If the likes of the big six or any clubs on the fringes of success were approached, would the Saudi's have gathered such big support? Would they f.....

Expect this is going to get out of hand in the end.

This banner is just the start.. They've basically given fans permission to pin everything on Newcastle fans

Yep, just been on the news that your owner is torturing a man's son, so he will return to Saudi and be killed.

Mind the individual concerned was head of intelligence in Saudi so probably no innocent...but really sins of the father, 100 lashes!

Pull on your thick skin, the crying will continue, everyone will hate us but so what. Fans are hateful to opposition fans everywhere anyway. If we start winning I will meet it all with a smile knowing it’s all two faced hypocracy anyway.

Indeed mate, however this has just given them permission on their minds to cross lines.

It won't be allowed to continue though..

It just means the police couldn't charge them for an offence, but it's still culturally offensive and over timr the complaints will pile up.

It's notable that kick it out were so fast to suggest nufc were being racist for wearing head scarfs in case it offended saudis, but thus far have said nothing about that banner.

Its going to get out of hand.

I think the best thing is for us to bring banners showing Boris selling mbs weapons and blowing up kids for oil

That's ensure the government steps in

They like their dirty secrets kept under wraps.

A ban on political banners will sharp come in

You do not really believe that, I have read some of your posts, you are not stupid or nieve.

We sent arms and supplies to Stalin during the war against Hitler. The enemy of our enemy is our friend etc.

At the moment Saudi is effectively fighting Iran, who the UK and USA want to eliminate. So we supply arms etc to them, as you say. If the Iran position ever changes, Saudi will be dropped as quickly as Stalin was after WW2.

All football have morons supporting them, of course we have them , yes you wanted Ashley out... but Saudi MBS!

    Not at nufc he doesn't.

Why not take up your World politics complaint elsewhere?

    Like where it exists?

so Staveley, Jamie Rueben and PIF have committed criminal acts in the UK? Please think carefully about your response to this.
