That’s not working too well for Ehab. Selling some of our prized assets previously at below market value, or letting contracts run down so we get next to nothing or nothing. But, this is the best run club.

Bruce went because we borrowed £30 million from a bank to fund the promotion campaign and only beat Derby County by the skin of our teeth. After home games against Sunderland, Burnley and Newcastle United the previous season and finishing 4th with what must have been one of the highest budgets in the Championship I'm not surprised Ehab wanted him gone.
Just great scouting I think. That seems to me something that gets overlooked. Think of those great times with Ashbee, Dawson. Myhill and France. They cost next to nothing, but were all fantastic for us. Maybe that's what we should be looking for, a couple of really good scouts.

I didn't know the club accountants posted on here so tell you what I'll bow to your obviously totally trustworthy insider knowledge of the club's financial dealings and leave it at that. I think times have moved past relying on one or two people to scout players, computer models and analytics tools are much more valuable.
I wasn't being tongue in cheek. That's how Brentford are so successful with their model. They don't rely on some bloke driving around England watching kids play.
We completely battered Derby at their place, one of my favourite ever away games. We were nervous in the return leg, but still held on and we completely outplayed the Wendies in the final. We were promoted at the first time of asking, that was the task in hand and it was achieved. Ehab wanted Bruce gone long before he knew how we'd perform in that season anyway.
