I can’t believe come tomorrow morning, Ole will still be the manager. I actually find that hilarious. The whole setup at the club is fricken rotten! Ole is just a pawn in the shambles created by the leadership team at the club.
hope that the hierarchy are scouting the world for the most suitable managers. And that the delay is only to identify the best replacement. Rather sad that it’s come to that as he’s a United hero. But it’s probably better to act sooner rather than later, especially if we all know it will happen. Can you believe it? We could be in competition with Newcastle.
Yeah, you'd hope. This should have been happening at the end of last season though, so I don't really think they will have. I wouldn't worry about Newcastle. It's Newcastle for **** sake.
come on guys, Oles only had 3 years in charge. Even Fergie had 4 years before his glorious reign. You need to keep ole for another year and a bit and let him get the players he needs to challenge
You'll be pleased to know I'm doing this on the club's behalf. Further details on the Game Over thread. And yes I am indeed looking at potential managers all over the world.
For me, Ole is still a hero as a player legend. But was never going to be one as a manager and there’s no shame at failing as a manager. Many managers actually fail than succeed in football. We all have our limits. Ole simply got lucky to have managed the club but it was way above his pay grade. No shame in that like I said. However, I do wish he would do the honourable thing and resign or leave by mutual consent (whatever they want to call it) after seeing our fans leave the stadium in droves today. Ole should go to bed tonight knowing that he will not be the manager by the end of tomorrow.
And? They've got loads of money so all of a sudden they're a better prospect to work for then the club and squad who finished second last season. Newcastle are a tin pot mikey mouse outfit, always have been and always will be. I don't know what planet you live on sometimes.
Currently they'd go to man united that's for sure. I have a feeling that you probably said the same about the noisy neighbours though.. The difference of course being that nufc actually has got fans. I'd be worried if I was one of the top 6 clubs not doing well in about 4 or 5 years time. You've got plenty time to get it on track, but you don't want to struggling when Newcastle start getting close.
Yes mate, we will have. Which is why they had the likes of Eriksson, Keegan, Hughes etc. before they finally got their hands on the likes of Mancini and Pep. It's a process that takes a while, right now you are not our rivals for anything.
I don't think there is a toon fan suggesting that at this stage We might well be going down before it gets better. They actually already had Hughes when it went through then boom straight to mancini
We need to stop just going for the manager who's available. It's so lazy. Where's the work involved from our hierarchy in simply looking at who's available and signing them up? It's piss poor management from arguably the biggest club in the world.
Absolutely this. It's funny because if there's one thing Fergie showed, it was that to remain at the top there's no such thing as keeping anyone on simply because you like them. We lost that when Fergie and Gill left.
That's true but they'd already gone up a notch with Shinawatra and Robino and such like, so the process of 'making them "big"' had already begun.
Robino wasn't there.. They had a good season with elano etc then the takeover happened.. There's no doubt nufc is going to take longer though.
It was a different era when City were taken over by Shinawatra. Remember they immediately put in an offer for Kaka for £200m and although AC Milan were willing to accept it, Kaka was broken up that the club would even consider it. Newcastle will learn a lot from the mistakes City made in those early years, and it will take you a while before you build anything of note for a while as you said.
