Nass that is me finished work today from home booom all day being lazy again music on and first beer opened johnny la gente esta muy loca
Just heard that Mount Benbulben is down to make his debut for Gordon Elliot at Galway tomorrow (maiden hurdle at 2.55) - eyes peeled everyone
Morning all had a great day at Middleham yesterday with Richie McGrath who took me round Kate Waltons then the inner sanctum of Mark Johnstones two yards where his wife is the racing secetary was going to write it up but spoke to Richie this morning to be told that Peter Walton died during the night, he was in top form yesterday so its a massive blow. Richie is married to Peter & Kates daughter Nicky very sad day you never know when he comes calling stay frosty all
Mount Benbulben looks like he could be a potential star and should certainly win tomorrow. However, am always wary of backing horses like this who are only commencing a hurdling career at a relatively late stage (he’s only a couple of months off the age of 7). Why has there debut took so long??? Have they had problems??? Is it to late to ‘teach an old dog new tricks’??? are some questions I always ponder in this instance.
Odddy SBC Barry Connell has purchased the horse as well . Its first apperance wasn't untill 30th December 2010 in a p2p. Must have had some problems
Morning chaps... After having two 2nds yest, and 5 for the week im struggling to look at the cards today with any confidence. But on first glance i may well be saved with the poor showing... AP has 2 short priced runs which should come in, Caught Red Handed 6/4 and Mush Mir 11/10 so may double them up. Good luck to all who do indeed part with owt today...
Very good racing at Chepstow tmz mind - blows Aintree away for sure. Nicholls runs both Woolcombe Folly and Tataniano in the same race. WF has topweight so wondering if he is doing it to keep weights down for Tat
RV, thats the problem with the big horses running in limited handicaps. (not got the RP here but how much weight would Monet's Garden got from Master Minded if he ran from his mark when he won it last time? Its a shame that others are not willing to run against MM, its not as if he is unbeatable from his mark. Still I hope more turn up for the TFR Charlie Hall at Wetherby.
13lbs I think Nass . I mean its a 2 horse race isn't it because Pure Faith has no chance what so ever, he is rated 136 ffs
Oddy, you'll be sorry you didn't put Mount Benbulben in your "ten to follow" after tomorrow. I noticed a few members put Lovethehigherlaw in their list; I must admit I was a bit surprised, given Mount Benbulben slaughtered him. Of course both have done nothing yet over hurdles.
With Ruby being at Aintree to ride MM Darryl Jacob has a tremendous book of rides at the Welsh track - good chance for him to show his stuff
Tam I also didn't realise he'd gone to Gordon Elliot - I thought he was still with his little-known former trainer (who's name I have forgotten). Will you be backing him tomorrow then? Sporting Life going 6/4 on the tissue.
Agreed Odddy might do some kind of multiples bets with his tomorrow although fitness of the horses a slight doubt. Look at the last at Aintree BLACK QUARTZ looked good on the flat for O'Brien. Now with Rebecca Curtis going hurdling. Seems he had one start over hurdles in france finishing last of 4 surely he hasn't lost all ability at only 4 Odddy Barry Connell has purchased him thats why he has moved trainers
3.10 Doncaster ...Dance The Rain.(14/1 Betfair) Most of these have been running in Class 4&5 maidens. Dance The Rain was beaten less than 2 lengths in a Class 2 over course and distance last time- after being understandably outpaced by subsequent Dewhurst Stakes 5th, Trumpet Major. He meets nothing of that class here and is an outstanding Each Way bet.
