The 2nd was my favourite tbh. Not even for the goal quality as such but the timing and the 2 goal lead with loads of time to go. Set us up beautifully and destroyed utd mentally. That was the winner for me Utd fans leaving at 3 nil.. Brilliant. And as someone said earlier the aerial shots of the huge crowd leaving outside as the game was on like 60 mins was glorious to see.
Football won this weekend. Klopp, Guardiola and Tuchel embarrassed their opposition. Koeman & OGS who are both stealing a living got exposed. Mourinho sent off for Roma.
Well, it feels a bit odd. Did we really just have our biggest ever win at old Trafford and the biggest away victory in the history of games between the clubs???? The last 5-0 was in 1946 and the only largest wins were in the 1920s Man utd were shocking, even compared to the atlanta game were they at least made a bit of an effort. We walked through for virtually all the goals. Keita could almost not miss and Jota has a tap in. After that the game briefly swung their way in terms of them having a bit of possession but salah was ruthless The abject nature of utd set up combined with the complete absence of any leadership through the first half should be enough to send agent ole packing, but to send on Mr pogba and then with 10men to stick on a second passenger while too afraid to sub Ronaldo meant we could have ran up a cricket score if not for the fact we just dropped off and cruised through. Have not heard what keita jnjury is yet
The Fernandes one was even worse. As I said earlier in the thread, a remotely competent ref then that match could have been abandoned. Wythenshawe Taylor was obviously told to do everything possible to keep it 11 v 11 for as long as feasibly possible.
Pass of the game for sure, outside of the boot is, dare I say it, reminiscent of the type Gerrard used to play. Souness saying in the build up how the midfield is hard working, you know wheat you're going to her, but no magic. That pass was pure magic
Dalglish is a far bigger legend at LFC than OGS is at MUFC but LFC owners wouldn't tolerate mediocrity whereas United do, that's pretty much why the two clubs are so far apart now. From the outside, I always felt Dalglish's love for LFC is genuine whereas OGS' for United isn't. Dalglish would have resigned on the spot had he lost 0-5 at Anfield to United or Everton.
2nd May 2021 24th October 2021 Vermin running in, vermin running out. The real fans stayed to the bitter end.
Dalglish said that by the end in 1991 he couldn't make a decision he was so turned around. Solksjaer needs a hard look in the mirror as 0-4 is no time to send on pogba, he was whispering to Carrick all half who just shrugged and they never impacted the half. But to put on cavani to partner Ronaldo with 10men. Wow. City or Chelsea might not have been so kind
Lol i actually dont know if its consecutive games or consecutive games played in. Job for mito or the anylistics guy i forget his name cos im very wavy
The only thing that saved United today was LFC playing Atletico midweek. I've been saying all week LFC would win with ease - they were never going to beat LFC with Salah and VVD in this kind of form. Henderson seems to have found his best form again as well. Mainstream media won't admit it but Fernandes' arrival made Rashford and Martial a lot worse and now Ronaldo's arrival has completely unbalanced the side and made their best finisher (Greenwood) less effective.
I also don't see how RM are any better than Barca in respect of them both being heavily indebted through mis-management. RM owe a lot of their earlier success through being the favoured club of a dictator and they got bailed out by the Madrid City council when they bought their training ground off them for a hugely inflated price when they had money troubles previously.
Simple answer We played Norwich on 21st Sept which was after 4 games of his scoring streak. Given he didn't play that it is games played in. Salah has 7 goals in 3 cl games and 10 in 9 prem games. 17 goals a quarter of the season gone. Just 5 assists as well in the 12 games. Lewandowki has scored 2 less (in cl) and only 1 assist. Haaland has 9 league and 1 cl goal. That's the level he is at. Salahs best season was 32 in league, 1 in Cup and 11 in cl. Right now he is on track for 50 goals
