'Jacko' has been there all the time, if he's such a legend he shouldn't have sat back and watched his club flounder.

He's obviously 'one of the lads' and that never works after the first few games ...

... you'll be making a big mistake if you appoint him.

Having had a sleep and thought more about yesterday's game, I think we need more support around and beyond Stewart and also not have him drop so deep.

Maybe something like this? With Evans screening the back 4 to allow the fullbacks to push forward and support attacks?

    …….......................... Stewart

    Embleton….........Pritchard....... Dajaku

    ........................... Neil

    .............................. Evans

    Cerkin......Flanagan... Doyle.... Winchester

The job of a No 2 is to support the manager, not undermine him. The big mistake was appointing Adkins. The manager picks the team and sets them up. Anyway, time will tell.

Good day mate thanks result aside.
Was trying to tempt my Dad to come to the game on Friday but thankfully he declined as I wouldn’t have been popular had he witnessed that performance…
It was good seeing some of my family.
Looking forward to the next trip back up already, hopefully with a few more of the lads back from injury and back to winning ways.
    Enjoy QPR on Tuesday mate.
Safe journey there and back to all going.

shocking game, made even worse by a disgraceful referee, we've had some bad refs recently but this bloke was pure ****. Charlton were well up for it from the off, it was a free hit for them really because nobody expected them to get anything. We had a few beers with some Charlton lads in Chaplins beforehand, and they felt no pressure at all, so maybe the players just went for **** or bust. Anyway it unsettled us and we couldn't get into top gear. I would rest O'Nien for the next few games, he's just not doing his job, and we have others that can do better ( and why has he stepped into taking our free kicks? ) McGeady was also way off the pace, and we ended up expecting Ross Stewart to play right across the front line instead of just doing his job, he needs some support and it wasn't there yesterday.
Good to see Evans and Gooch back , I'm sure once we're up to full strength we'll get back into our stride, but we need to learn from games like this, it seems the physical sides give us more problems, and maybe we need to toughen up and give some back. Luckily the games come thick and fast so we have the chance to put things right immediately instead of dwelling on it. Onwards and Upwards. KTF

On the Monty issue, to my knowledge he has always been this way and he can be read as speaking his mind. As I see it he has not done anything to cause undue offence, his comment on "black people" may just be him referring to his long championing of Kimpioka, and not in any way racist. I am sure with a little tolerance those newer members on the board, and what a difference they have made <ok>, will come to realise that Monty is an integral part of the natural diversity that makes this forum so interesting. In the meantime a couple of wins would do no harm, and the squad has shown it is more than capable of that . OaU.

Funny game where we kicked off and they took the knee except for one of their players to empty O9. Freekick but possibly a booking, the ref lost control of the game there and then. Something happened with Flanagan and their no9 at a corner early Doors and we ended up putting O9 on their no9. This took O9 out of midfield and we lost that ground as Neil was isolated... Geads tried but he had an off day, as did a few. Pritchard was easily knocked off the ball. Stewart was left to do too much and aob couldn't do the basics when called upon. Defence played well and Cirkin shaded motm. Cannot understand the substitutions as I would have taken geads off instead of Neil. Hopefully LJ learns from this and we bounce back against Rotherham were hopefully the return of Embleton, a great miss, gets us back in the hunt for top spot. Hhhhaaawwwwwaaaaaayyyyyyyy the lads.

Yep..I think someone has already mentioned that Mcgeady kept coming inside. With no width the player with the ball had nobody wide to pass to, which stalled the attack.

Also this left Cirkin exposed first half and Winchester with no get out second half. Winchester also had an off day were he seemed to try too hard and sometimes got the ball trapped between his feet... A poor day at the office which hopefully we bounce back at Rotherham with Embleton.

I usually don’t mind AOB but he should’ve been off a lot earlier than he was yesterday. Very poor.

I'd have been struggling to know who to take off tbh, even Stewart was poor imo.

I've convinced myself they were knackered after all these away games.

Roll on Tuesday and the quarter final against Preston <laugh>

For me he is a 110% trier who works hard for the team. Alas when we were underperforming yesterday we needed a spark to ignite the players.(which imho did not happen until they had scored a goal).. I am not sure he has that in him...

At one point we had a promising attack developing and he tried a cross or shot from outside their 18 yard box which he powered straight out for a throw in to them.

Leaving him on didn't do him any favours, his confidence was getting shattered more and more every mistake he made.

I'm sure next game he plays he'll put his usual shift in but he might need a bit of extra attention from Johnson to lift his spirits.

Ffs. Working all day today and get my break now. Go on here to catch up and all the **** hitting the fan. Sorry but I’m not wasting my lunch break dealing with it or even looking through. Will catch up properly tomorrow as I have an evening with my wife planned after work
