She's no doubt made all kinds of assurances based on her 'expert knowledge and understanding of the English game'. Oh dear ...
Just had a look over on their board and found this post proving that their fans have succumbed to PIF's sports washing and now themselves as defenders of Saudi Arabia - not the people, just the country and its regime
Wow, that's truly deranged isn't it. So they believe they should report any comment about one of the most racist regimes in the world to 'Kick it Out'. I hope they do because Kick it Out will eventually be forced to make statement asking them to stop and repeating what I've just said. This public relations exercise isn't going quite the way Staveley promised is it
i honestly do not get this 'defend this regime at all costs' attitude...they did not choose the new owner, they have no say in who buys the club (unless they ever went for a fan based take over) and in all honesty it is not the fans fault. they could, of course, vote 'with their feet' and not go to games, they could protest outside the ground or at other places with any saudi interest and they could paint slogans on bed sheets...all of which they have done before (obviously swap saudi interest for ashley interest) yet they choose not to, instead they choose to defend something that most people would never stoop to defend but try to make a stand against them. how much time will they allow the regime before they once again start to get upset and angry, a whole 50 million is apparently the transfer kitty they will have in january and at present they may have to blow that in the vain hope of actually staying in the league, or will this be another 'rafa' type love in where a mediocre performance level will get ever lasting backing 'because they have money now' and this regime might actually spend some of it, time will tell.
If someone does get charged, it cant relate to the wording as i cant see anything other than truth written & offending the proper persons test cannot be racist as the words are not racist....so that leaves the drawing of the saudi...if their charged Nothumbria Police are going to be busy from last sunday & future match days dishing out court appearance to proper thick fxckers
This dribbling defense of the Saudi horror regime is just one more example of the needy, desperate nature of most of that lot's followers. They are permanent victims now, after a few good years in the nineties, ( built on sand we now know), along with the absurd, boilerplate rhetoric of John Hall, who needed the club floated onto the stock market to make his cash. This has engendered pathetic and unending displays of self pity. It is self abasing and grotesque to watch. And, if they think that that banner is a one off and that other people will not, in a multitude of ways higlight the common place atrocities committed by the owners of their former football club, they are in for many unpleasant surprises.
They're getting confused with a banner being racist/offensive and something being embarrassing and shameful. The Crystal Palace banner was truthful therefore you can file that under embarrassing and shameful for the Saudis. The below is undeniable racist and evil.
The lads been arrested yesterday, wonder what will happen to him? also funny on the bbc this morning it says there was a banner at the ground with ALLEGED atrocities by the Saudi government.
Ultimately, I think this goes all the way to the top and our government will ensure that the premier league keep falling on the side of the Saudi's. That kid will go to court, handed a little fine and banned from every ground for a year or two until he completes some sort of awareness course.
To be fair someone or presumably more have taken a lot of time over this. It's a cracking bit of artwork. Hope there are more in the pipeline handed out at future Newcastle away games.
I think all involved & all reporting/ prosecuting need to remember we have freedom of speak in this country....this is clearly a peaceful protest rightly raising serious questions over how a regime with horrifc human rights issues has managed to enter into our sport. Lets also not forget many of those who are against these protests were allowed to carryout protests including shouting at shops because mike ashley offers zero hour contracts....which as he was never present at these protests means the were likely simply shouting at those on the zero contracts. I hope it continues, not because its them lot up the road, but because its simply not right which is why other fans are highlighting, lets hope save the children, amnesty international etc start further protests & are welcomed by clubs to do so....as i said previously football sold its sole a long time ago....but this is a whole new level letting....dare i call them people into our game
Love to know what’s racist about that 100% factually accurate banner to be honest. They will stick a racism tag on anything nowadays how long before we can’t call coffee without milk a black coffee?
Great post. I seen the other day just how much the Premier league are willing to overlook. The Saudi finance minister was being interviewed on a show in America and he kept referring to 'we' when he was talking about Newcastle United. This showed without doubt that PIF and Saudi Arabia are undeniable linked. This evidence was produced to the premier league by Skysports and the premier league simply responded saying that nothing has changed and they still view Saudi as separate from PIF.
