Im not disagreeing as such, but who knows if someone else can do better. Like I said I wouldn’t get rid now, but i think the club are giving him until this run is done, with Norwich, Villa & Watford.

I just wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t last as long as some may think.

I hope you’re wrong; about the fans, I mean. Obviously, most football supporters are ****ing idiots, true, but to that extent?

Most are asking why Redmond is being played.

Anyone who wants Redmond out after the last two games doesn’t deserve the luxury of eyes.

(I acknowledge he was an otherworldly level of **** for about two years prior to the Leeds game, but here we are).

Add up how many actual fans who attend matches, that constitute the Ralph Out brigade on social media and I would hazard it’s actually a tiny minority. I know you have an agenda, but honestly, answer the age-old question: which manager in world football who we could realistically employ would be doing a better job than Ralph right now?

Well quite. It’s not a majority, it’s just the loud ones.

I enjoy visiting this site and occasionally contributing but anyone who seriously thinks anything we say will affect Saints in the real world is, at best, confused.

No agenda. I've not hidden my thoughts on RH and it's not like I'm preaching here. I think he's ****e most on here don't. No odds to me if you come along to my way of thinking or not.

The who else question has been discussed a tonne of times before, but in short we simply don't know who can do a better job and who'd be worse, we can however know when someone isn't getting results

Yeah, Redmond has been pretty effective this season, and Ralph does deserve credit for helping him back to his best.

The trouble is, *expecting* to win against Burnley is like expecting to win against Watford. It just doesn’t work like that. Nobody expected to take points from
City, United and West Ham. But we did. Their fans, equally, would have expected to beat us.

It’s way too early to be calling for Ralph to go. Way, way too early. Particularly if when you watch the games, you can see we’re beginning to find out feet again (which we are).

If we get rid of Ralph we might be in the top next season. Unfortunately it would probably be in the championship

Now I'm the first to admit that most of what I see with Saints is what sky sports show me as I rarely get down to games, I was however there for Wolves. I saw nothing there which suggests we're any better than in Feb.

Draws against City and Utd are all well and good but they mean nothing if we can't beat those around us like Burnley. 1 win in 9 is not good form

So you’re basing this on the worst game we played this season?

I always love the “we need to beat those around us” - if they’re around us, it’s because they’re there or there abouts in terms of quality with us. Surely they’re also saying “we need to beat teams like Saints and those teams around us”. Should they sack Dyche because they didn’t?

Exactly. St Mary's was a bit odd today. First 20-25 minutes there were lots of groans and moans as passes went astray and Burnley were on top. But then Saints woke up and St Mary's was really loud when we kept getting those chances. I will confess I did shout "you useless berk" when Redmond missed that sitter. My one outburst. But then Tino scored just after and all was well. :)

The fans at the games are definitely behind the players and Ralph. Well, most of them anyway. I can understand the groans when we didn't seem to want to go forward in stoppage time but the fans were mostly getting behind the team.

You're just looking at the stats. Look at some of those draws - Armstrong misses 2 great chances late on v Man Utd, Broja hit the post and had a header cleared off the line v West Ham, the overturned penalty at City. I would say in 9 out of 10 seasons, we would have won at least one of those games.

Good points about our missed chances, but do all teams have a similar story to our missed opportunities?
