the fa have no balls and the premier league have bullied the little clubs yet again. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15381652.stm
This move will be damaging to the england team as well. How good will our team be if we have a load of man united bench warmers as our best youngsters. They need to learn their trade in the lower leagues before arriving at the top, soon we won't get into any world cup or euro cup. The only thing i'm hoping for ibe or kadeem is that they'll see the best chelsea academy graduate of recent years is carlisle's tom taiwo, so it isn't the best thing and to be sensible and wait for a few years.
The £5m that the Premiership hand out every year to League Clubs. Is that distributed among the 72 League clubs clubs (ie about £70k each)?
yes ron its a pittance, there is no hope for clubs like ours .look what decent youth players we have produced over the last few seasons, quite a few of them have broken into the first team at one stage or another and future youth team players will go for next to nothing, its a bloody disgrace.
So what's going to happen is anybody with a glimmer of talent will get snapped up early by a Premier League club, and then if we're lucky we'll be able to get them back on loan until they decide otherwise. Great.
