Aye, really, really disappointing. I can normally find some positives but that performance was just annoying. The ref was ****e, but, we never really threatened in truth. Got what we deserved. We really miss Embleton. We need an upgrade on O9 in Jan.

I still maintain that Ross and Aiden O’Brien shouldn’t be on the pitch together. Aiden would be a great sub where he pulls the defense around when there are tired legs.
They wanted it a bit more than us today. Well done Charlton - they narrowly edged it. Ref made some howlers though

Think it was just a case of playing us after JJ was appointed manager tbh. We haven’t played like that all season.

I think by the end of the season this result will be much more significant to us than you. You’ll still go up with any luck.

Good luck lads. Fantastic club and fantastic supporters :emoticon-0150-hands

Heart of hearts was not surprised about today. A good team that obviously has the shackles off after Adkins held yous back. Fully expect you to climb the table now.
Soon as he got binned it would be a different game.

Our midfield were too easily bypassed. Not sure if there was enough there up front for us to have an outlet either. Never mind, learn from it and move on.

honest opinion, we deserved not a thing from that performance regardless of yet another sh1te ref (fair enough ref, make sure we take throw ins from where the ball went out, but then let them gain over 20 yards on theirs?)

no idea where to start, yet again after a decent result we fail to turn up for the next game, passing was weak, decisions were mainly wrong... two players i like AoB and onien were just not with it today and more a liability, the ref seemed to give them everything and us only when he had little choice (i will watch the full 90 to see if this is just my bias or not).

did we expect charlton to arrive, walk around for 90 and go home or something, this was a team with a new manager and something to prove who we always seem to struggle against...they were going to come here and make a game of it whatever the outcome but they outplayed us all over the pitch and we made it easy for them, too many long balls, no one making the runs we have come to expect, crosses were dire and our defence of crosses was worse...whole team had an off day, well done charlton you deserve that win.

Is that other than hitting the bar and their keeper being forced into saves first half? And Dajaku strike. Otherwise you’re right

How many people were praising O'Nien even he was playing centre half last year? Yes he's not playing well but you have to wonder if the shoulder injury is causing him problems during games. If it is then it needs to be sorted properly rather than playing through it

Gutted at that performance. Very flat and never got going. Ref was a cock but we never really looked at the races. KTF

Problem is we dont have a ready replacement for O/9 unless we move someone in who is untried or play Evans who is not match fit but then again is Gooch, and he was put straight in to-day .

    Disappointing
Worrying one dimensional tactics we allow teams to play and gain confidence we need a big re think central midfield
But let’s see if we can learn from it

I agree. Can we truly rely on Evans to replace O'Nien if he does get the shoulder sorted out? Can Neil do the job? For me it's not his ideal role and could take him out of the game. Maybe we need another defensive midfielder in January
