The Good: Laura Kuenssberg is in talks to step down as BBC political editor.
The Bad: She'll probably be replaced by another Tory propaganda merchant.
The Ugly: She's also in negotiations to become a presenter on the Today programme. <doh>

I'm sure her replacement will embody the same qualities that she did

A Tory council vice-chairman is facing calls to resign after he made a racist remark during a public meeting – telling colleagues: “That’s dealt with the little n***o in the woodpile.”
    https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/n...says-to-colleagues-no-in-the-woodpile-296402/

Thing is, that's not what he said. They're actually downplaying it:

Has anyone ever heard this phrase used, except by Conservative politicians?

You know all those wonderful new trade deals that Truss and Co have been banging on about? You know, the ones that couldn't be done when the UK was in the EU?
Well, an example... The deal with Japan originally only included 3 'protected' British named products, with promises of many more quickly.
A year on...still only 3 listed, but in the same time the EU has added 28 to its own EU-Japan deal....
    More Brexit bollocks!

Ah, but we have agreed a deal to sell bacon to Mexico

...that's worth less than the EU's deal to sell bacon to Mexico, while also not lasting as long

...and leaves the Tories wide open to jokes about gammon

Clearly the Met have time on their hands - to investigate this, presumably Public Order offence stirring racial hatred, because I don't think 'upsetting a Ruler who pays us £bns for arms' is on the statute book yet....<doh> (bloody good banner IMHO)
