can anybody explain what a diversity manager actually does?

That's what most office wallahs do. The higher up the greasy pole they are the less they do and the more they are paid.

luckily the East Riding's best aorta specialist was on duty and saved his life

Can you imagine nowadays:
Administrator 1: "We have a patient coming in with a burst aorta"
Administrator 2: "We have our best aorta specialist on duty. shall I get him prepared?
Diversity Manager: "No. We have a transgender surgeon on duty. He can't spell aorta but it would mean an increase in our transgender surgery statistics"
Administrator 1: "OK"

Administrator 1: "Our patient died in surgery"
Diversity Manager: "Look on the bright side. Our transgender surgery statistics have improved. We'll get more transgender know nothings apply to work here"

 

How did you become this stupid? Was it from birth or was there some horrendous brain damage at some point?

I very much doubt such a thing exists, outside of the imagination of gullible Mail reading morons.

The NHS employ 1.3million staff from all over the world. Imagine getting annoyed that less than 0.1% of those are employed to help manage all those different cultures so they can all work together to make everything run smoother.

 

Just because you don't know much about anything doesn't mean it doesn't exist .

Ironically 100% of diversity and inclusion managers are non white British men , which makes it one of the only positions to discriminate purely on race gender or sexual kinks.

They may as well put straight white British men need not apply on the advert.

If you go to hospital for serious surgery I think I would want the most skilled person for the job operating on me , not a diversity hire trans person that got hired as a woke box ticking exercise.

 

The fact you believe all this baffles me.
