Used to bunk off games and go to the local in '68. They never had a problem with 16 year olds. 1/11d a pint iirc.

Not much, but Total is a big player in the oil game. Something like 70% of France's energy is nuclear is it not, or it certainly used to be when I lived there.

That was my point really. If France has to buy oil on the spot market the same as us why should it be more expensive? It can't be tax as we've been on hold here for yonks.

A bit like someone trying to make a point on here, which gets buried, when someone else posts about 16 consecutive tweets, from various random right wing nut jobs.

Brexit Britain's staggering trade with EU laid bare - more important to bloc than China.

Facts4U.org explained why, despite these staggering trade differences, China remains at the top of the EU's 'bestsellers' rankings.

The firm said in its analysis: "The reason the EU puts China at the top of its 'bestsellers' table is not because China buys more from the EU than the UK does.

"It is because China sells far more to the EU than the UK does.

"The total trade between two countries (or in this case one country - China - and one wannabe country - the EU) is the sum of imports and exports.

"Using this measure, China does indeed top the UK. This measure, however, disguises a very inconvenient truth for the EU.

"The bulk of the total trade between the EU and China is one-way, and that's very heavily in China's favour."

The analysis from Facts4EU.org also showed the EU "makes" £120billion from the UK but actually "loses" £175billion to China.

The reason that the EU " makes" money from the UK is simple. Our manufacturing industry has gone. It was decided that we don't need it and could make our living selling financial service and expensive coffees to each other. That worked out well.

Ho hum, the reasons that manufacturing went across the mainland Europe has been done to death, and it wasn't for the reason boring Bob desperately claims.

Then again, the sad sack will say anything in the hope of a reply. :emoticon-0118-yawn:
