It's possible but in all honesty they are not exactly performing right now. Scot McT seems to have stalled in his development, Fred as much as i love his effort is just not good enough, Pogba if played deeper is more of a "deep lying play maker" not a ball winner or controller, Donny? ****ed if i know what he does because he has hardly played and on the few occasions he has doesn't seem to have a specific role. In short we need a Carrick oh, and another left sided CB that has some speed and agility.
I agree about Poch, he wasn't backed by Spurs and so he couldn't take them to the next level. Progression halted and the team peaked and stagnated. I'm not sure about Zidane. He is tested in Spain, won the league the CL countless times. He left and went back and won the league again. It suggests the guy wasn't a short-term success. Which suggests that in the CL at least, Zidane can be trusted. But we don't just want a cup manager. The only question mark is whether he could do it in the premier league. The league title is the most important. The one thing that gets missed is his presence in the dressing room. By all accounts he is a strong character. Players respect him and tactically he's known to be very good. Btw Poch was out of work for a while
We could have our pick of any manger in the world, even Stevie G or Fat Lampard - don't rule them out........
This thread was started a month ago and at that time we had already... Lost to Young Boys in the CL. Lost to West Ham (at home) being knocked out of the League Cup, then lost to Villa (at home again) in the league. A month has passed and it's only got worse. I also said that he'd end up losing the dressing room. I think we've witnessed that today.
And has there EVER been a manager in the prem who's not fighting relegation, with a worse home record than Ole's over the past 18 months?
It's incredible. His home stats over the past 14 months resemble that of a manager fighting relegation. And ppl at the club want to keep him. They actually believe in the "project". Do they even lift their heads up from their sirloin steaks to stare out the director's box when we're playing at home?
"Project" "Process" "Transition" All these Sky Sports buzzwords are just a cover up for failure. If United don't sack him now City will show up at OT in 2 weeks and repeat what Liverpool have done today. If that happens, these players won't recover from it.
Ok going to throw another name into the ring if Ole goes. Not saying he will, but if we're considering other managers other than the usual suspects or just restricting ourselves to those who are available.... Ten Hag?
I'm not going to claim to know enough about him, but there's a lot of talk of him at the moment. Anyone watched a lot of Ajax under him? Is he good? The only concern is it's the Dutch league and who knows just how a manager doing well over there translates to here. But that doesn't mean we should write him off for that alone, if he's any good. Is he???
Sounds good to me, sign him up! And does Daley Blind still play there? Maybe he could bring him along to play cb
