I've said it on our board but I really do believe Levy's long term plan is to re-sign Poch, which I personally think is a terrible idea, at least for the foreseeable future anyway. Although Paratici is the one making footballing decisions right now, it sounded like he had to heavily persuade Levy in the first place to hire Nuno (for once Levy was right!) and the fact he only sanctioned a two year deal with the option of sacking him for free if he doesn't get top four (which he won't), I think there's hope on Levy's part that Poch may be available that summer should he fail to win the CL and get binned by Paris.
I think Poch will end up at Utd personally. Spurs probably should have gone for somebody like Graham Potter, who's shown he's got the minerals at Brighton and is probably ripe to take on a bigger challenge. It will take time whoever you bring in, so you have to be patient. I think you need to clear out the likes of Kane, Ali, Ndombole, Dier, and bring in some younger players, maybe through the academy and build from there. It's a bit like us with Arteta, he's definitely got what it takes imo, but it's a project that's going to take time to develop, as we have one of the youngest sides in the prem right now. I know we ain't pulling up trees, but most Arsenal fans can see what we are trying to achieve and the potential that these players have got. Trouble is, this game is a results business and a lot of managers aren't afforded the time to build a project.
Maybe, though I think Utd may target someone like Conte if Ole does get the boot, which doesn't actually seem likely right now. Clear out Kane? We're short on quality players as it is, getting rid of one our two top class players would be footballing suicide at the moment. The other three I'd agree on though, amongst a good few others. Agree on Potter, that's who most of us want and did so in the summer, if we don't go for him soon I think he'll end up elsewhere, I thought Newcastle would've gone for him and given him the job of rebuilding them with their tiny budget but seems Fonseca is the favourite. As for Arteta and you lot, I just hope he stays for many years, you're going nowhere under him in my opinion, similar to Utd with Ole. I've also said on your board already that I think you lot overrate some of your players and then seemingly wonder why you've struggled in recent seasons.
Goons have a goal ruled out after the ref blew for an obvious foul by Lacazette. Spitter says Villa got lucky
Villa have been horrendous. Although if it stayed 1-0 they could have got back into it. Think Arsenal will walk it from here, there's no chance at all this post could come back and haunt me
We are so much better with Lacazette in the team. Bloke is a soldier and will fight for every ball. We’ve got so much more bite with him in the team. Fear we’re gonna lose him in Jan coz he’s out of contract in the summer
