    HULL CITY v WATFORD

    hull.jpg View attachment 7965

The Hornets are travelling up the motorway for the third time looking for their first win in the north, Hull on the other hand welcome another southern team hoping to improve on their single point won on their travels, in Brighton, and go better in the goal scoring than the last home game against Cardiff.

    HullCity

    • The Manager – Nigel Pearson

    nigel p.jpg

    after the Brighton match

“It's about time our players had a bit more credit for how they play. Defensively, we've been pretty solid this season and our lack of goals continues to be the thing that stops us from progressing more, but I've got no complaints about the number of chances we created or the quality of our play.”

“T he players go out there and play. We've got a young side with some exceptional players. We're trying to build the club and take it forward in the right way. Hopefully that will continue.”

    • The Foxes

Nick Barmby did not play against Brighton but may be fit enough to play against Watford. Corry Evans (dead leg) and Martin Waghorn (hamstring) are recovering well and may be included for the game on Saturday. Martin Pusic will not play with his hip injury.

    Update on the Tigers’ statistics

    WATFORD

    • The Manager – Sean Dyche

    on the
    Leicester game

“The second half showed we didn't need to do that; we proved to ourselves after half-time that there's plenty for us to believe in. We can certainly take our 45 minutes after the break into the weekend at Hull”

“Prince (Buaben) came in and showed the sorts of things we've seen before he came to the club - so he's got something to build on now. There were one or two others tonight who showed that they've got plenty to offer, but it's as a team that we've got to build on the belief of the second half and go forward from here.”

    • The Hornets

Stephen McGill has been joined on the injury list by Martin Taylor and his shoulder and Michael Kightly and his unidentified muscle injury (probably hamstring). Adrian Mariappa has joined the list of players cautioned.

    Who will win?

    Current form
Watford are on a no win run of three matches and have not scored for 275 minutes. Hull have not lost since August and have three draws and four wins with seven goals scored and three conceded.

Akureyri's Prediction: 0:1 The Tigers will suffer a robbery and Watford will return home with the points.

Our last visitors were Cardiff not Brighton ( we played them
Away ). Not being pedantic , just pointing it out .

We have won our last three home games , scoring just 4 goals but conceding a miserly 1 .

For the record I predict a nil nil .

0-1 Ak, you're wrong. I think our results will continue to get worse. A 3-0 home win will be a good result for us.

I looked for a Hull City match thread and found some score predicting threads. If there is one can someone put a link here?

    No Martin Taylor
    No Michael Kightly
    No Stephen McGinn
    No Marvin Sordell's football brain
    No plan B

I am trying to be positive but everything I see and read makes me less so. I want Sean Dyche to succeed but we cannot drift any longer, he needs to get a firm grip of the team and give it a good shake.

I didn't realise you'd got Kightly on loan, how's he looked?

Yeah we got him on a months loan to build up his match fitness. He showed a spark of his previous brilliance the game at home to Palace. But he went off injured last game, so who knows what will happen.
