This is the Steve Bruce that Villa fans threw vegetables at? Us joining in anti-Bruce chants with other fans is much worse than a physical assault though. I totally agree. Bruce on leaving Villa: Bruce on leaving Sunderland:
They dont give a flying **** about Bruce ffs. Bruce wouldnt have had a clue it was even that bad if Alex didnt read it out verbatim. Like a ****ing gonk. No one bar Twitter and Not606 was calling him an inept cabbage head , hi Alex btw.
Not sure what Aston Villa have to do with Newcastle, if you want me to condemn them as well, then I can, but it would be pretty fruitless as there is none of their fans on here. It always amazes how people go this defensive route of justifying their misgivings, by highlighting someone elses misgivings as form of defence. Anyway I think there's going to be some big social media changes afoot over the next decade, and I pretty much guess, forums like this will disapppear as a result.
These guys get paid millions.. They want their arses licked even when they haven't won a game all season. It's not nice, but seriously they've just got no ****ing idea what it's like in the real world. He'll be better off than me that's for sure. He'll be ok.
You know I know he played for your lot. But the man is crying about something thats been in the game since the 60s. They spat at Brian Clough in the dug out at Leeds.
I think you're mistaken, from what i can glean from the media in the last few days it's only Newcastle fans to blame here.
It was canny bad mind. Even when we were winning he was getting it I've never seen such a large % all be in unity with their dislike. Not saying he hasn't said the wrong things because he made it personal himself early on.. Game 2 with his humble pie comments. He'd use excuses during bad runs then get 1 draw and say humble pie again. The fans started it, but he never had the brains to pander to them and try and win them over. Tbh in not sure if he could've
I was always going to be protective of Bruce, regardless who he's with and yes, I was an admirer of Clough as well.
I'm old enough to remember him playing for my lot mate. Virtually saw all of his young career with us. Even through to the highlights when he recovered from injury to go up against Everton, in what was a big cup tie at our place, the year Everton went on to win it. Great memories of him playing alongside Mel Sage in defence. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Sage
He was pissed off the fans never wanted him. The Sheffield Wednesday fans wanted him, not that he gave a flying ****
I'm going to be living in a world in mental gymnastics Nufc fans should just say what I'm saying. Just agree we've sacrificed our morals for success and get the **** on with it. Whether you have or not is irrelevant. They won't stop or agree with your reasoning
I don't need the media reports mate, you could see the strain on the guy, I was waiting for him to keel over from a heart attack. Poor sod. Sometimes people don't recognise when they need to put their health before their pride.
