cry me a river…. Take it up with Sir David Norgrove (head of uk statistics) I’m sure a primary school teacher can put him straight & explain he’s put his beans in the wrong column or something far beyond my simple comprehension
We had a great poster on here who laughed at death from cancer for many years and to him it was Just cancer Choose to face it and get on with it or cower away and hide Same with Covid
I'm not offended by people wearing masks. Entirely up to them. I wear one in shops still. But I won't wear one at work for a full shift because masks become irritable after about 15 minutes for me. Makes me feel hot and stuffy and is a pain in general. You could also argue that excessive hand-washing and hand-sanitising dries out your hands, and is particularly bad for people who already have dry skin or eczema. I would've thought most people wash their hands before they eat or after the use the toilet even before covid, but there are some grotty bastards about who don't.
One of my biggest criticisms of the whole thing has been the piss poor approach to data. Sometimes it's incompetence, other times it's ignorance, but I think there have been a fair few that have been stealing an income producing 'data' of debatable quality and value, that froze when they were pushed into the limelight.
I reply to your comments about once a month. You seem to think I'm stalking you. I really don't have that much interest in you. I tend to skip over most of your posts as you rarely have anything positive or constructive to say other than the MDT. I do wonder though how some people can be so full of hate. It must be a sad pathetic life you live that you have to behave on here as you do. You aren't alone though, but you do stand out as the one trying to reach Pattydom. I'll give it a try I think. I might start replying to any of your comments in threads I read where I think you're acting like a ****. It's a bit out of character for me but you're a special case. I'll avoid your Premier league fanboy threads though. Not enough interest in actuslly reading the thread.
Followed by a ****er called Anal Gives you some purpose on here as mostly without name checking me you’re ignored
indeed…but in the heirachy of facts, primary school teachers are greater than a senior statistician at the university of Oxford Dr Jason Oke, a senior statistician at the University of Oxford, pointed this out earlier this week, saying: “As we have said right from the beginning, we need to focus on deaths by date of occurrence, not deaths by date reported. “Reporting Tuesday’s numbers – always the highest – in isolation, tends to exaggerate things, and gives no indication of current trends, which has if anything been slowly falling through September and October, [and] no guarantee of future trends of course.” A quick look at the figures from the Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) show a marked increase in cases reported to the regulator over the past year.
Chazz, you're acting like a ****. Just saying. I won't be following you specifically. I'll be reading the threads that interest me like normal. You just tend to be an annoying **** in lots of threads. I normally skip past them. Not sure what my username has to with anything btw. It's not a real name you know. My real name Is Alan Frank Fingers.
Education even at higher levels rarely includes critical thinking. It means that people don't look too far beyond the headlines to check the numbers that underpin them, especially if it suits their chosen narrative. The other issue is when people get presented as 'experts', when they're not 'expert' in the topic they're actually talking about. Sadly, a lot of that applies to official bodies too.
Roughly 10% of the government announced deaths turn out not to be due to COVID, according to the ONS.
Don't worry. I'll probably get bored within a day or so. I'm impressed with your ability to be an obnoxious **** so consistently for such a long time. It must take real effort. That's dedication (RIP Roy). Anyway, that's exceeded my normal daily post count. Nighty night, sweetie.
This is a bit out of date but it does suggest there wouldn’t be much difference: https://fullfact.org/health/liam-fox-death-figures/
