£250m over 5 years was, I think, mentioned as extra money being put in for transfers. So that would be more like £80-100m per season. That is the right kind of ballpark to solidify us in mid-table I'd say - with that sort of figure it depends more on how you spend it than anything else (see Everton for details - I think their fans are the first to suggest the club have indeed spunked much of the money up the wall). The club would be stupid if they actually said what money they had to spend though but where we are in January is going to be important for who we target and what money is available. Summary: No-one has any idea. The press are about as in the know as indykelia (sic)
just like Everton. You are going to pay over the odds and large wages to attract players who are just short of top four quality. may work out….
lol is that real? If so, its funny, but a manager making comments like that about a player who played under him.....wee bit unprofessional!
Cash for transfers, top class training ground and an iconic waterfront stadium being built, okay (thats me full fosse)
For entertainment purposed sure, but I would be looking at comments like that if I was a player who had the chance to play under him and be like "hmmmmm."
They seem to be doing better than the turds at other clubs. Also don’t forget the cash spent on hiring/sacking many managers.
I see you getting a little ruffled Peej.. It pleases me to know you can't take what you dish out on a regular basis. Surely you can't sit there and say you've spent well? You haven't got much for 500 million is the point. I'm saying I hope we don't do an Everton and that we build slow and steady.. We could spend money and get it right... We don't know if that will happen or not
