I do t think Lewis is awful. He was being scouted by Liverpool. I just think he had a few bad games because he was young. Then Bruce had his fallout with Ritchie and then put him in the team as a result to effectively apologise to him. Ricthie had done well going forward this season. But defensive wise he is terrible.
Bruce going gives players another chance.. I'll be interested to see if the likes of Lewis and Longstaff improve Personally I don't think either are good enough. Definitely not Longstaff
Yer me too. Our midfield is the concern. Whoever is manager against Palace just has to get them running for the team again. Right back to basics and players in their best positions. It has to be 4-5-1 for me. Excluding GK: Manq Schar Ferny Lewis Joelinton Willock Longstaff Miggy ASM Wilson I just think that look rather balanced and can soak up pressure and hit on the break. There is cover for both Manq and Lewis.

Yes we could get worse Liverpool did under Klopp early on. We might very well spend a year in the championship.
****s sake man, we're not getting relegated. I could understand if there was 8 to go, but there's only been 8 matches. FA Cup hasn't even reached the 1st round yet, One win could have us out the relegation zone! If you're getting a progressive manager with a plan, and line up players to join early Jan, we should be aiming for 10th. We had as bad a start as this under Rafa a while back,
You can't be sure of that and if you think this group of players will turn into Barcelona overnight you're mistaken.. There's a good chance of us going down unless we get a good 12 to 15 points between now and January. Then you can't be sure money spent will pay off.
I can't be sure I'll be breathing in an hour. But I'll take an educated guess that this team has enough quality to finish higher in the league than Watford, Norwich and Southampton. Palace aren't getting points, Burnley look poor, Brentford will stumble. I'm not expecting Barca, mate, I just think a better manager would have picked up 7 more points from the Leeds, Wolves, So'ton and Watford matches. We're a Steve Bruce away from 14th, with the current squad. We then sign a competent LB, CB, CM and Striker, it's 10th.
