There you go again - get rid of Ole, but no reasoning as to who might replace him..... tedious and pointless.

It's not my job to decide on or find the next manager.

What a weird way of looking at things.

My job...... what is this, a ****ing board meeting....The mood in some quarters seems to be that Ole needs to go, so it is a natural next step to discuss and debate the merits of who might replace him. To be such a vocal opponent of Ole and not have an alternative in mind and be able to argue the merits of one against the other does seem strange.

If you can be bothered to look back I was discussing the possibility of Zidane being that person, if only as interim before finding and employing an actual long term manager with genuine capabilities, this very morning and also yesterday.

Go and read it. There's your starter for ten.

Instead of just assuming it hadn't been thought of.

You are the only person on here who just accepts mediocrity because you think there's no alternative.

Why put an interim manager in place of one that got us to the EL final and 2nd in the PL <doh>

FFS man if we replace him we should do it with a permanent manager.

On an interim basis... in other words, if he proves himself he gets a permanent contract.

Like winning a trophy. Something a bit more than finishing 2nd and losing in a final.

Yeah, like five minutes ago you became a ZZ fan ........... the only manager who has come out and said he doesn't want to manage in the PL - good pick.

That's how we got Ole <laugh>

How long does he get to "prove" himself?

No actually that's NOT how we got Ole.

Read Chief's posts, he's told you how long.

Have we become ****ing Brighton or something - since when did one of the richest clubs in Europe start taking on ****ing apprentices. If there is a manager out there, surely we go and get them. £30m doesn't buy you a ****ing ball-boy these days so what is £40m in wages/comp package to get another manager - BUT WHO ?? Nobody wants to answer the question but everyone seems happy to slag off Ole.

No, Chief has answered it. He's said if you go for Zidane, you can afford to give him a trial period whilst keeping your options open. The reason being he is available.

And I'm sure Chief agrees that if you go now for a manager from another team then obviously you'd have to sign him on a permanent basis. But his point is, there's a potentially fantastic manager out there in Zidane who IS available and to minimise the risk you can take him on an interim basis to the end of the season and have the option to keep him or do your homework in the meantime and poach someone else at the end of the season. It's a reasonable approach.

Yeah, until he wins something. That could be a ****ing long interim <laugh>

Why do you keep laughing, you're just making yourself look a dick?

In case you hadn't noticed, Solskjaer was given the full time job in a knee jerk reaction to winning a few games culminating in beating PSG.

Before the end of the season.

So, not the same. At all.

He then went on a losing streak (including losing in the next round of the CL anyway) which highlighted what a stupid decision it actually was, and now we're seemingly stuck with him because there are no other managers out there according to you and the other fool who keep saying the same ****e on repeat.

Comprehension not a strong point tonight D?

You have a period where you have a better manager in charge who may prove himself good enough in the prem to keep the job. If he doesn't as I posted earlier, it gives you the time to go and have other options to choose from.

    It's a perfectly reasonable option.
