OGS could be the next manager to go after they lose to Liverpool on Sunday. Perfect for a new manager rebound against........us.
The only hope we have is that United wait until after the City game to sack him...the week after us... But that's a pretty slim hope
Is it a good or a bad thing that, for a moment, I thought Barca were playing Frenkie de Jong up front? I mean playing Sergino Dest as a RW might have led me down that path...
As I said before. Just when you feel he's on the precipice of being fired, he always finds a way to gather himself back to safety. Given that Atalanta were missing half of their first team today, I can't say I'm hugely impressed with the comeback - partly because of the embarrassment of riches Utd have compared to their injury-crocked opposition tonight anyway, but also because they should never have been 2-0 down to begin with. As fortuitous as OGS is, his luck doesn't quite seem to extend to getting over the line at pivotal moments when it comes to challenging for trophies or a league title. For that reason, the longer he keeps his job, the less of a threat Utd are to Liverpool, Chelsea and City.
Luck eventually runs out in the end. He won't come out of this run unscathed, it's about to get really ugly over there fast - they will be lucky to get a single point against Liverpool/Tottenham/City based on what we've seen against Leicester and Atalanta reserves.
I genuinely think they will wait until after the City match...no new united manager will want to take on City in their first 2 matches
1) They only signed him in the summer, the fee was around £23million. 2) Transfer window doesn’t open until January
The BBC are already trying to sell him The fact his agent usually talks about other clubs instead of the one he plays for probably doesn't help...
Steve Walsh certainly did a good job in getting Mahrez, Kante and Vardy in for a pittance. Since then I don't think anything Leicester have done can be attributed to scouting. Daka would have been on everyone's watch list. Whether he will eventually turn out to be worth £23m remains to be seen.
Everyone knew how good he could be. I was banging on about him in the TW of 2020. Leicester get deals (mostly good ones) done. This bloke was gettable and they didn't **** about. They are set up to do business. In the final days of most TW's we're not doing business. We're arguing about something and ****ing it up. With Paratici, this summer, we identified a couple of striking options...and came up empty...again. We went after Traore with little conviction and pulled out at the last moment, like a good Catholic. Until we sort this **** out, we're going to fall back into the pack.
