I'll take a not for sale still developing Dykes scoring every game and taking us up to the PL + helping us stay there. If he helps Scotland get near winniing the World Cup too, I'll be wearing that sporran.
Yes, but it just didn't work. That's down to his choice of players and their subsequent failure to make it work. Hungary were well organised and pressured us into errors and we never looked fluid enough in the vital areas. I wouldn't be surprised if it's back to the usual against Albania, we can't afford another slip-up in a group we should have had done and dusted by now...
Agreed. It didn't really work and many of the players had poor games by their high standards. What would you have done differently out of interest?
Baggies v Brum sounds like a feast of football...... 33 mins Post update West Brom 0-0 Birmingham It would be interesting to know how long the ball has actually been in play here. The match is so stop-start. Which you think would suit Birmingham, who have slipped to 16th after a run of just one point from a possible 15.
They won't be far away imo. Horrible to watch, but don't concede many and have a knack of nicking wins. Anti football at its finest.
Watching Newcastle v spurs 2nd half...... boring as hell...... Newcastle look awful and spurs if they put their minds to it could score as many as they want.......
2nd half no one really wanted to be there after the fan had a heart attack in the 43rd minute and play was suspended for half an hour. Really good from Reguillon and Dier that noticed something was wrong in the crowd and persuaded the ref to stop the game. The doc with the defibrillator took his time to rush over I have to say but apparently after half an hour the guy had been stabilised and taken to hospital. The game was secondary after that and petered out. Sending best wishes to the fan and wishing a full recovery. Brought back vivid memories of Eriksen and ironically Ginola who himself was dead for several minutes on the pitch was the studio guest ! Sometimes I'm life coincidences are thrown up that you simply couldn't make up !
When I was a kid, i would sometimes get a lift to Rangers with a neighbour who had a season-ticket in the rickety old Ellerslie Road stand. He'd park up and I'd head off behind the goal in the School End, while he took his seat in the stand. I'd then meet him at his car after the game. After one game, I waited at his car for ages without him showing, so I made my way home to Harlesden on foot. I found out next day that he'd had a heart attack at the game and died. RIP Mr. Earp.
Who knows what the outcome would've been if there had been a defibrillator available back then or if close by fans knew CPR ? Certainly saved this fans life
One of the Reubens was on our board for a short term. But had to leave to be part of the Newcastle bid. I don't think it means anything. Maybe we will get a loan player or two. Font think they will be poaching our manager, players or even SLF
A QPR fan collapsed and died from a heart attack on his way to the Fulham game on Saturday. He was only 46 and had no known health issues. I didn't know him personally but a mate of mine did and he's understandably really upset.
Tragic news that 9's. RIP. Just shows the difference that quick CPR and having a defibrillator near by makes
Some interesting games tonight.... Fulham v Cardiff City Huddersfield Town v Birmingham City Hull City v Peterborough United Middlesbrough v Barnsley Preston North End v Coventry City Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion Reading v Blackpool (20:00 BST) The only sides who can overtake us are Huddersfield and Reading....... Blackpool were very unlucky at Forest on Saturday and are proving to be awkward opponents. Brum on the other hand can't buy a goal, haven't scored in last 6 games or so........ Fulham could push Mick McCarthy closer to the exit door and there's a big relegation scrap at Hull...........
