I very rarely applaud anyone connected with Mordor, but sometimes you've just got to stand back and appreciate top quality trolling.

For cushion face, the cycle begins again.

Now we'll see what they're likely to attract. I think they'll get their pants pulled down.

Oh! Hi Eddy we would really like to welcome you into the Newcastle fold, could we see your premiership cv.

Thick Eddie’s CV. Got Bournemouth relegated.

Perfect when can you start, we can offer you £10ml a year rolling contract.

Thick Eddie, I’ll think about it.

The next Newcastle manager will speak volumes about the intentions of the Saudis ....

.... a top coach and we can forget about them simply treading water.

Still, no need to lose our heads over it.

    " Good Morning Mr Fonseca/ Gerrard/ Howe/ Whoever."

"Thank you for agreeing to an interview. We can promise you a King's ransom if you take this job, and every support and encouragement as you progress. All we ask is hard work, and that you park any scruples, principles and any sense of propriety* that you may have at the door, as you won't be needing them here."

"For clarity, if you do not make sufficient progress, say winning the Champion's League , World Cup and Miss World within four years you will be removed from your job. If this is accepted without demur, we will have no reason to kidnap you, take you to another country, murder you in our Embassy, and chop your body up, but I'm sure that it won't come to that."

" Good luck and thank you again for coming. Allahu Akbar! "

    * if the interviewee is Mr Gerrard, this clause can be considered unnecessary. Beating up a lone man while your freind holds him down is already evidence of the required lack of moral decency.

his 'newcastle roots' never bothered us except as a stick to poke him with when we wanted rid, much over-used excuse by him.

he now uses the 'ex-mackem manager' excuse when pushed.

basically steve, you failed in both jobs and you are not alone in that fact...dust yerself doon and sooner or later some other club will offer you another job you could fail at and boost your bank balance with yet another pay off.

these days, managers need a decent flow of cash for players, ashley denied this to his managers after the fans turned, any decent manager who actually does well on a budget will lose his best players to the big clubs and usually not get the funds to replace them, if more teams manage to join that elite set of clubs then the riches start to dilute, the players have a wider choice and hopefully, it spells the beginning of the end for the 'big six'.

You would hope that anyone with a reputation worth keeping would steer well clear, for various reasons.

They need someone in quick mind, or their support will beheading for the exits early on regularly.

You’ve got hand it to them, well not literally, but they are making a right balls up of this takeover.

I think Howe would be an outstanding appointment for them.

I’d rather they pay daft money and get Fonseca, who wouldn’t be.

No doubt their fans prefer Fonseca as he once managed a big club. With very little success.

Not so sure mate, how many top players would relish being managed by Eddie Howe ...

... I don't think he's ever won anything significant as a player or a manager tbh.

Every time he’s had money to spend he’s failed. He did well working with “what he could get” but he then spent £20m on Solanke ffs!! I’d rather have Charlie Wyke!!
