Flavoured cider!!!!! Get a few McEwans Champion (7.3%) inside you for God's sake. How do you expect the team to give everything on the pitch, when you are drinking weak girly drinks at home whilst watching them!!!!! <doh><doh>:emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer:

Reminds me of all the stick Lucas used to get until he became essential to us. Always admired him for persevering until the fans rated him, sadly he got a bad injury when playing his best football for us.

They said from a different angle it actually glanced off the defender. The first goal to be credited to three different players then reverted to the original scorer?

Ok, Jimbo - I don’t want to fall out with you over this, we’re both on the same side aren’t we?
I’ll back off a little, in the sense that I think your initial comment was mostly aimed at the Twitterati.
Twitter is a cesspool of gobby ignorance - you either deal with it or avoid it. I tend towards the latter.
I’m not surprised that you’re riled by some of the nonsense spouted there.
    But...
Klopp made his decision so I accept it. I rarely give advice to the manager, even in my head, but even I was screaming for Fabinho to come on. The question is for whom?
It’s unlikely to be Hendo, so it’s down to Naby or Milly. I love Milner and want his babies, but his age is showing now and against top opponents he can be a liability (though I think the yellow was harsh - he had an arm out to fend off Trippier who just ran into it and went down as if pole-axed).
I think at HT the game is slipping out of our grasp and Klopp is more concerned about not losing it than going all out for the win. Keita is a more creative player - he scored a great goal - but his defending was poor and the need was to shore up the defence.
It might seem harsh and counter-intuitive, but bagging the odd worldie isn’t everything. Harry Wilson scores some corkers, but he’ll never establish himself in our team because his overall contribution isn’t good enough.
It’s not just the odd game, Keita’s defending has been a bit iffy since he joined. When you need creativity he’s the man, but when you want some solidity he isn’t.
We know how hard to break down Atletico can be, so Keita was a natural choice as starter, but the way the game developed, it became a backs-to-the-wall exercise.
It’s amazing - and bloody brilliant - that we came away with the win.

Brilliant win in against an extremely tough opponent.

    Thought trent was good defensively.

Allison proving again hes the best 1 on 1 keeper in the business.

Robbo for me needs a long rest, hes no where near as sharp as he usually is and its not just last night game either. Hos shooting really frustrates me + Tmiskas needs a few games

This will do the lads confidence no harm at all grinding out a result like that.

Cant wait for utd next, if we dont batter them were **** anyway so <whistle>

Agree on all counts. If bobby had not been leaning slightly forward, he'd have kicked him in the throat and chest. Is Macmanaman saying that is not dangerous play? Only if you're an incompetent, bent **** like Howard Webb.

    Yeah you do <laugh>
You responded before my edit lol
It was a lighthearted comment designed to wum lmao

However where do we draw the line
imagine if a player runs in on the blind side on Nabys goal and gets caught in the head running in with his head down as nabys foot was very high
Do we disallow it and send him off

and that pretty much goes for everything really in the game
Think it’s a thin line - if we are going to take out the contact then the game is going to be very different

the rules don’t really allow for context imho

I know people on here disagree but I genuinely thought that was a yellow at most
    No one got hurt
    It clearly was not intentional
He never looked at Bobby once
it didn’t result in an injury or even scratch

I get it looks bad but to me the far worse incident was the Suarez challenge on VVD
    Nasty

    just an opinion mind <cheers>

So, just a hypothetical then, if he'd caught Bobby in the back of the head and not drawn blood nor left a visible mark, he wouldn't, in your alternative universe, be sent off for serious foul play?
