Interesting comment by Alan H**sen on the BBC:

"Another sign of City's progress is that there is now a feeling among plenty of United fans that they would rather see Liverpool win the title than City."
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15383778.stm

I wonder, does anyone actually feel like that? For me, if City won the league it wouldn't be much worse than when Blackburn won it with Walker's millions, or even Arsenal back when the SAF / Wenger rivalry was at its highest. City will need to win a lot more before I'd consider them rivals on the same level as Liverpool, and I can't think of any situation in at least the next fifteen years where I'd rather Liverpool won the league than City.

I'd rather Chelsea won. But I personally don't care, I don't want Liverpool to win 19, but I don't want city to be rewarded with PL title for spending all the money they've spent. If Arsenal or Tottenham won we'd never hear the end of it.

Easiest fix to this Dilemma is for us to win the Title. <ok>

I would rather City won it any day of the week. It's not even a remotely serious question, what's he on about?

If I'm honest, I wouldn't begrudge City a title at all, growing up in Manchester I don't really have a huge problem with them, it's nowhere near like the flat out hatred I have for Liverpool.

If not Utd, then City over anyone else for me.
Growing up alongside the Sky Blues, I appreciate everything they've gone through over the years and wouldn't begrudge them some success.

Not under these circumstances. They're swanning around like a bunch of Billy Big Bollocks cos some sheik threw untold amounts of money at them, if they won the league it'd be the biggest kick in the teeth since, well, Chelsea won it.

They haven't earned any of their success so far. To be perfectly frank,i'd much rather Liverpool won it, as their success would be infinitely more legitimate. It pains me to say that, it really does, but it's true. If they win the league, **** them and their Trojan methods.

So how many genuine United fans has Mr Hanson discussed this matter with, to reach his illustrious conclusion ? I must say I had to laugh when I read his comments today and do think that it is wishful thinking on his behalf. I did a quick straw poll this afternoon of 8 Reds and not one of them put a preference for looserpool to win the title instead of ****ty. As an earlier poster said there is only one way to make sure his comments are a waste of time and that is to win No. 20, roll on Sunday !!!!!

If I had to choose it would be City.

Liverpool win it and they are on 19, that cant happen.

List of clubs id rather see win the PL than liverpool (excluding united) Zoom out for this one. Its gonna be long.

    Tottenham
    Stoke
    Bolton
    Hull
    QPR
    Newcastle
    Blackpool
    West Brom
    West Ham
    Wolves
    Ipswich
    Southampton
    Crystal palace
    Derby
    Peterborogh
    Wigan
    Brighton
    Blackburn
    Sunderland
    Norwich
    Fulham
    Swansea
    Everton
    Aston Villa
    Cardiff
    Reading
    Portsmouth
    Millwall
    Burnley
    Forest
    Watford
    Wimbledon

    (So on and so forth)
    89. Arsenal (i find their barren run hilarious.)
    90. Leeds (they would never shut up about it)
    91. City

So id rather city win it (not an achievement), but its a silly question where i am in horror at both outcomes.

Over the past few years any team that has dared to win Man Utds title has gone on to become quite ****.

    Leeds 92
    Blackburn 95
    Arsenal 2004
    Chelsea 2010

Chelsea are the exception but its recent their last title so a few years from now they could be on the down spiral like Arsenal currently are, Blackburn and Leeds went right in the **** and are not a patch on their previous levels.

Seems the title is cursed for everyone else haha.

Liverpool or City win it in 2012......Liverpool or City in League 1 in 2014 :D

    Its a theory of sorts.

I like this theory <ok> Would prefer not to have to test it though.

Can city even be sustainable once their multi-billionaire gets bored of his play thing? You might be right on them.

In a sense Liverpools last title in 1990 has seen them collapse down the league and never reach the same heights since so they fall foul to this curse.

    So have Everton aswell...

Hmmm, its already got more substance to it than the creationists theory of life.

To deviate off topic slightly. I just read the first half of that blog and was barely able to contain the vomit. What complete **** that man speaks.
