I'll tell you why, because of the story! I don't give two ****s about the online ****, it's the story that grabs my attention. I hate the fact that I've completed the games since MW in about 5 hours (except WaW, that was epic missions, my personal favourite, Gary Oldman as Viktor Reznov! And Jack Bauer!) because it just totally absorbs me like a good book or movie.

Same here and it is the same with movies. I don't care if the special effects are ****, if the story, cast and direction are great then that is what makes a great movie.

    Amen,

Story is why Max payne 1 and 2 are my favourite games ever, despite the simplistic nature of the gameplay and the shocking graphics on the first one.

Metal gear solid: guns of the patriots has the best story line ever for a game in my opinion.
Im getting both mw3 and Bf3, wasn't going to get mw3 but i love the storyline.
Hate the online tho, way to many kill streaks and now they've brought back the annoying death streaks it can only get worse.

Bf3 have stepped it up big time this year but both games won't be game of the year.
That will fall to Skyrim, looks amazing so life like and open world game play to.

I haven't really played Battlefield. I got 2: Bad Company and I liked the storyline but I never carried on with it. I found it to be too much like WaW, something I'd completed not long before. I'm contemplating it, would it be worth it?

Am I the only one that loved the story of Black Ops? I guess I really liked the Russian side to WaW and how sort of carried on in Black Ops, not to mention Enemy at the Gates, both featuring the battle of Stalingrad and exactly the same sniping scene!

Tbf i like the black ops story line too, but it was far to short i completed it in about 5 hrs if i remember rightly.
Hopefully both Mw3 and Bf3 single player will be much longer.

Have any of you played the Bf3 beta? What did you think?.
I know ea reduced detruction by 75% and removed vechiles but i still liked it.

I liked the story of Black Ops which is why I disagree with all the haters out there. It really annoys me when people hate a COD game just because they hate Treyarch.

I think its because its not a "modern warfare", CoD has always been fantastic ever since the first ever one came out in the early 21st century regardless of who's made it. Most people I know just know it from 4 onwards.

I thought that Black Ops storyline was quite clever, I got the twist before it was revealed, but Numbers, the mission where you play as Hudson in Kowloon and the Hudson mission when you're on Rebirth Island the Nova 6 contaminates the air are two of my all time favourite missions. So Treyarch gets a big thumbs up from me.
