Yep, two players on Salah and Mane every time and they'll defend the box again. They'll let our CBs have the ball. We'll continue to let Trent & Robbo play as wingers rather than them drop a little deeper to either create or encourage their defenders out creating space for Salah / Mane. It'll be a bore ache again
yup. I would encourage us to sit off them and take the draw. I would be saying to fabinho to remain goal side of the ball at all times and holding one fullback back at all times. we have 6 points to their 4 and the others are on 1. Worst case coming out of the day we should be on 7 with them on 5 and maybe porto on 4 I'd take a bore ache now to set us up nicely. unfortunately we have just not shown that ability to see the games out. V man city we lead twice and piled on past the ball and left kdb free and jesus too. we did the worst of all games by half the team stopping and the rest still piling on. whatever we do imo they all need to do it.
Me too, and we can't just assume that Atleti won't get a result at Anfield either, but I think there might be a bit of squad management and acceptance from us that a draw won't be a bad result.

Hardest game so far this season. AM have the game and the players to stifle and suffocate us of space and then counter very effectively. Even if we get a lead, we don’t have the ability to sit back and defend….it’s not in our DNA, so I fear an uncomfortable night until Salah scores his third goal after 80 minutes in a 3-1 win
Have to make sure we don’t concede first goal or it’ll be like the second half v chelsea where we get frustrated and aimlessly lob balls into the box from silly positions. That’s when you know we’ve run out of ideas and aren’t going to score. Keep Atletico at bay. Score the first goal or just play them at their own game. If they want to settle for a 0-0 that works fine for us away from home.
