For me, it's get him out. Then if the next manager achieves 30 points from the next 38 games, then let's go back and talk about how amazing Bruce was.
I know, it's almost impossible to believe, particularly when IndyKFC himself ratifies it. But, nope, still not sacked.
I think he might be which is just bizarre. There's a lot to iron out with the processes here, and I'm not sure what the financing structure is behind Staveley's consortium or how much power she has (next to none, perhaps?). As I say, I think most of us could be more patient if he was just ****ing gone. If that means Jones - who I don't rate that much - is caretaker for a game or three, it's preferable. At least it's not Bruce. It buys the new owners a bit more time - keeping him is grating on the fanbase and isn't doing a lot to endear them. I have this horrid feeling that we may get into Jan with nowhere near the kitty we thought. Edit: I'm alarmed by the bookies markets. It suggests we're not even trying to talk to someone. There's more info coming out of the club after Ashley's embargo lifted, but no sign of any progress bar getting some cleaners in. Man U have three "next managers" at shorter odds than we do (Rodgers, Poch, Conte). And nothing is going to happen to Ole this week.
I think Staveley's 10% share is commission mate. Fair play to her, she seen this through from start to finish and hung in there when others would have walked. I have nothing but admiration for her and Mehrdad.
Getting worrying now, like. Staveley and her hubby seem to be running the shop. But neither are football people. They may have ideas but lack the power to enact them - PIF have to sign off but they have plenty of other plates to juggle. The key, you'd think, is the installation of the upper management structure, but no sign of this being formalised yet either. On top of that, realistically the club isn't very appealing to want to manage at the moment. The Opta Twitter account posted a worrying stat yesterday - this is the second only occasion where three teams have failed to win by this point in the season; the last was in 2018/19 and two of the three went down. We were the third back then! They described it as "roulette", which is essentially what it is. Not many managers are going to go for that.
